Marjorie Taylor Greene Fires Back over Twitter Suspension: ‘Maxine Waters Can Threaten Violence’

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has fired back after getting suspended from Twitter for so-called “repeated violations.”

Greene noted that Democrats, such as Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), have used their accounts to “threaten violence” in the past, without repercussions.

Media figures on the Left immediately gloated and praised Twitter for making the move.

However, despite her personal account being banned, Greene’s official Member of Congress account is still active, at the time of writing.

In a statement, Twitter confirmed that the company has permanently suspended her personal page.

“We permanently suspended the account you referenced (@mtgreenee) for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy.

“We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy,” a Twitter spokesperson said in a statement.

Greene fired back from her account on Twitter rival Gettr, saying:

“When Maxine Waters can go to the streets and threaten violence on Twitter, Kamala and Ilhan can bail out rioters on Twitter, and Chief spokesman for terrorist IRGC can tweet mourning Soleimani but I get suspended for tweeting VAERS statistics, Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth.

“That’s fine, I’ll show America we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies.”

Greene also took a few swipes at AOC:

“Did your martini taste a bit hypocritical?

“Don’t you just love the freedom Republicans give you in Florida?

“No masks or vaccine mandates.

“No stifling communist policies you constantly legislate & vote for.

“Cheers to freedom!
