Hollywood Legend Harrison Ford to Star in Anti-Woke ‘Yellowstone’ Prequel ‘1923’

The anti-woke hit TV franchise “Yellowstone” has just signed Hollywood legend Harrison Ford to star in the next prequel installment “1923.”

Kevin Costner just started filming the fifth season of the Paramount original show, which continues to break records.

Meanwhile, the first prequel spinoff “1883” was a smash hit for Paramount Plus, the network’s streaming service.

And now Paramount Plus just announced that British acting star Dame Helen Mirren will join Harrison Ford to star in the next spinoff in the franchise, a prequel tentatively titled “1923.”

The network said the of the show:

“The next story will introduce a new generation of the Dutton family and explore the early twentieth century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition, and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.”

“1883” starred Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as James and Margaret Dutton.

It also starred Sam Elliott, LaMonica Garrett, and Isabel May.

It was a smash hit, becoming the most-watched title ever on Paramount Plus globally.

Harrison Ford should challenge those numbers and add to the string of successes for this young exciting franchise.

“1923” will debut on Paramount+ in December.

“The show follows the Dutton family in the titular year, a time of Prohibition, the Great Depression, and westward expansion,” according to Variety.

“1923” is a followup to “1883,” the latter of which told the story of the Dutton family as they made their way to Montana to found what would become the Yellowstone Ranch in the mothership series.

“1923” was ordered to series at Paramount+ back in February.

The show falls under Sheridan’s expansive overall deal with Paramount.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

1923 arrives as Sheridan’s Yellowstone has blossomed into a massive hit and sprawling franchise although the flagship series streams exclusively on NBCUniversal-backed Peacock as part of a licensing deal that came before CBS All Access was rebranded as Paramount+ as ViacomCBS expanded the platform to include content from across its portfolio.

Since the service’s expansion, Paramount+ has been rapidly ramping up its so-called Sheridan-verse with Yellowstone prequel 1883 (starring Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill); and spinoff 6666 (still in the development stages).
