3 ‘Depraved Criminal Illegal Aliens’ Arrested for Murder in Texas

In yet another disturbing case highlighting the consequences of the Biden administration’s lax immigration policies, three illegal aliens have been arrested in Texas on capital murder charges.

Following their arrest, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged detainers against all three Venezuelan nationals.

Yosguar Aponte Jimenez, Jose Trivino-Cruz, and Jesus Bellorin-Guzman were charged over their role in the June 20 shooting death of 48-year-old Santiago Lopez Morales at a Motel 6 in Garland, Texas.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the three men are now facing not only capital murder charges but also robbery charges following a series of violent incidents.

According to DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin, all three entered the country illegally via the open border under former President Joe Biden.

“Three depraved criminal illegal aliens from Venezuela were released into the U.S. under the Biden administration and are now facing capital murder and robbery charges for shooting and killing a man at a motel in Dallas County, Texas,” McLaughlin said in a statement.

McLaughlin continued: “Thanks to the brave men and women of ICE law enforcement, these criminal illegal aliens’ crime spree is OVER.

“These vicious criminals have no place in the U.S. ICE has lodged a detainer to ensure they are removed from our country after they face justice for their heinous crimes.”

The crime spree allegedly began with an aggravated robbery at a Deluxe Inn just one mile away from the Motel 6.

A victim at the Deluxe Inn reported that two Hispanic males had forcibly entered her room at gunpoint.

They then proceeded to strip the victim, assault her, and steal jewelry, cash, and an ID.

The suspects later admitted to Garland detectives that they targeted prostitutes for robberies because they believed the victims were less likely to report the crimes to authorities.

Jimenez claimed the group had committed over 25 such robberies.

Despite the alarming nature of the crimes, these dangerous individuals were allowed to enter the U.S. under the Biden administration’s open border policies.

Jimenez, who illegally crossed the southern border on May 3, 2023, was released into the U.S. by the Biden administration.

Trivino-Cruz and Bellorin-Guzman also entered the U.S. illegally on October 9, 2024, and remained in the country via the Biden administration’s CBP One app.

Bellorin-Guzman crossed the border illegally on January 6, 2025, and was also released under Biden’s policies.

The trio has been arrested and their bonds set at amounts they will unlikely be able to meet.

$1.5 million for Jimenez, $2.25 million for Bellorin-Guzman, and $3.25 million for Trivino-Cruz.

This case underscores the dangerous consequences of the former administration’s open-border policies, which allowed criminals to enter the U.S. without proper vetting or accountability.

These migrants, charged with brutal crimes, were able to slip through the cracks, committing heinous acts before their capture.

As the crisis at the southern border has been brought under control by President Donald Trump’s policies, questions remain about the safety of American citizens due to the high number of criminal illegal aliens who are still in the country.

Calls are growing for accountability to prevent more cases like this from emerging in the future.
