30-Year-Old Soccer Player Drops Dead in Front of Mother: He ‘Suddenly Began Feeling Poorly’

An Italian soccer player has tragically collapsed and died suddenly at his family home, according to reports.

The sudden death of 30-year-old Luca Aluisi came just one day before he was scheduled to begin training with his new club.

On Monday morning, Aluisi was at home with his mother in Marta, a town in Italy’s Lazio region, when he reportedly began to feel unwell before collapsing.

According to his mom, the young athlete “suddenly began feeling poorly.”

He then dropped dead in front of his devastated mother.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, but paramedics were unable to save him.

No cause of death has been revealed, and all details regarding Aluisi’s sudden passing have been withheld from the public.

The tragedy comes just two months after Aluisi celebrated signing with ASD Castell’Azzara, a soccer club in Tuscany.

He was set to begin pre-season training on August 20 after passing his medicals.

In a statement, Castell’Azzara expressed deep sorrow over the midfielder’s passing.

“ASD Castell’Azzara is deeply shocked by the tragic news this morning of Luca Aluisi’s passing,” the statement reads.

“The young 30-year-old was ready to wear our jersey and embark on this new sporting adventure with enthusiasm.

“The club joins in his family’s grief over Luca’s sudden loss.

“Our deepest condolences go out to his loved ones.

“Every training session, every match, every goal: Luca will always be with us. Goodbye Luca.”

Aluisi followed in the footsteps of his father, Marco, a police officer in nearby Viterbo.

He started out by playing soccer at the local level before advancing.

He had previously played for Ischia di Castro and his boyhood club, Virtus Marta.

Virtus Marta president Massimo Natali remembered him as a player who gave his all on and off the field.

“He had played with us since he was a child, always showing passion and dedication,” Natali said.

“He was a kind, sensitive young man who took part in community activities.

“His memory will live on in all of us.”

The town’s mayor, Maurizio Lacchini, also extended condolences, saying the community stands with the grieving family and shares in their sorrow.

Aluisi spent years playing amateur soccer before signing as a pro with Castell’Azzara this season.

It came after several campaigns with Marta in Lazio’s Second Division.

A post-mortem examination will determine the cause of his death.

Clubs across the region expressed their condolences.

Atletico Piancastagnaio released a statement saying, “Condolences from the entire Atletico Piancastagnaio club.”

Virtus Amiata offered similar words:

“Condolences from the entire Virtus Amiata company.”

Messages of grief and sympathy continue to pour in online for the young player.

Aluisi will be remembered not only for his talent on the field but also for his dedication to his community.
