A violent mass shooting in Baltimore has left six people wounded, including a 5-year-old girl, according to police.
The incident comes as the Democrat-controlled Maryland city’s crime wave continues to put communities at risk.
The shooting occurred on Saturday night around 8:45 p.m.
The gunman opened fire at the intersection of Spaulding and Queensberry Avenues.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley confirmed that officers responded to the call and found the victims, who included four males and two females.
Among the victims was a young girl who was shot in the hand.
However, her injuries are reportedly life-threatening.
The other victims, aged 23 to 52, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
However, one victim, a 38-year-old man, was listed in critical condition.
He has been undergoing surgery at a local hospital.
Homicide detectives were quickly called to the scene due to the severity of his condition.
According to Commissioner Worley, the shooting took place as people were gathered outside when a gunman opened fire.
Despite the level of violence, no suspects have been arrested.
The incident remains under investigation.
This incident underscores the ongoing crisis in Baltimore.
Shootings continue to plague neighborhoods, affecting innocent children and adults alike.
The city’s failure to control violent crime remains a significant concern for residents.
Meanwhile, public safety continues to deteriorate under the weight of unchecked lawlessness.
The police department is facing mounting pressure to act swiftly.
It comes as more communities are becoming victims of the growing violence fueled by gangs, illegal firearms, and a lack of accountability.
With no clear solution in sight, pro-law-and-order conservatives are calling for tougher policies and stronger law enforcement to ensure that violent offenders face justice.
