Actor Mark Ruffalo Warns ‘Fascist’ Trump’s America Will Soon Be Like ‘Living Under the Taliban’

Actor Mark Ruffalo has claimed that the “fascist” government under President Donald Trump resembles the Taliban.

The Hollywood liberal made the remarks while reacting to ABC’s suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.

Speaking during a kickoff call for the October 18 “No Kings” protest, the “Avengers” star suggested that Kimmel’s indefinite suspension was not a corporate decision.

Instead, Ruffalo argues that it was an act of censorship by the federal government.

Ruffalo, 57, admitted the details were “cloudy” and “murky.”

Nevertheless, he continued to advance the unsubstantiated narrative that the decision amounted to a crackdown on free speech.

“This cancellation is the U.S. government coming and taking your voice away from you,” Ruffalo said.

“It is the U.S. government that is now suppressing the freedom of speech.

“It is the U.S. government, not your neighbors, not someone on social media.

“It is the government doing it now.”

He went further, comparing the administration to a “fascist regime.”

Ruffalo then warned Americans to prepare for life under Taliban-style rule.

“And that’s where we all have to come together, because authoritarian regimes, fascist regimes have to degrade our freedoms more and more over time until we’re living the smallest, the most frightened, the most secretive lives,” he said.

“Think of yourselves living under the Taliban because that’s where we’re headed.”

ABC and its parent company, Disney, suspended “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last Wednesday.

It came after the host triggered outrage by suggesting that Charlie Kirk’s killer was a Trump supporter.

He also accused conservatives of trying to mischaracterize the political leanings of Kirk’s assassin.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said earlier this week.

Prosecutors have since confirmed that the accused killer, Tyler Robinson, expressed contempt for Kirk’s political views in messages to his transgender boyfriend.

Ruffalo blasted Disney in a Threads post following the suspension, warning that the company’s stock, which had already dipped 7%, could collapse further.

“It’s going to go down a lot further if they cancel his show,” he wrote.

“Disney does not want to be the ones that broke America.”

The Hulk actor also lamented the broader collapse of late-night programming, referencing Stephen Colbert’s speech at the Emmys after his own program was canceled earlier this summer.

“I think it’s a shocking moment for us,” Ruffalo said.

“We wake up every day with some new shocking news that makes us question are we actually…is this our reality?

“Is this America? Is this possible?

“But what we’re reminded of every day is it is, and it’s a fragile democracy.”
