AOC: JD Vance Believes ‘American People Should Be Assassinated in the Street’

Radical Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has leveled a sharp accusation against Vice President JD Vance amid the national debate surrounding the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good during a federal immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis.

Speaking to reporters Friday on Capitol Hill, Ocasio-Cortez criticized Vance’s defense of the ICE agent involved in the shooting.

“I understand that Vice President Vance believes that shooting a young mother of three in the face three times is an acceptable America that he wants to live in, and I do not,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Her remarks came two days after the death of Good, 37, who was shot after confronting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from inside her vehicle during an operation in Minneapolis.

Video footage of the incident spread rapidly online, prompting intense political reaction.

However, on Friday, explosive new video emerged providing a clear picture of the moments leading up to the fatal shooting of the anti-ICE activist.

The video was filmed by the ICE agent who shot Good, identified as Jonathan “Jon” Ross.

It clearly shows Good seated in her Honda Pilot during an escalating standoff with federal officers.

While Ross is standing in front of her vehicle, Good can be seen revving the engine before she accelerates forward toward Ross and rams him.

Ross’s camera jolts abruptly at that moment, as he was struck while trying to jump out of the way.

The ICE agent swiftly responds by firing three shots, including one through the vehicle’s windshield.

While Democrats have condemned the shooting, the Trump administration has defended the ICE agent’s actions.

At a White House briefing on Thursday, Vice President Vance said the incident amounted to an attack on federal law enforcement.

“This was an attack on federal law enforcement,” Vance said.

“This was an attack on law and order.”

“That woman was there to interfere with a legitimate law enforcement operation,” he added.

“The president stands with ICE, I stand with ICE, we stand with all of our law enforcement officers.”

Vance also suggested Good was part of a broader activist network.

Federal sources later confirmed that Good was involved with a Minneapolis-based immigration activist group known as “ICE Watch.”

Ocasio-Cortez rejected Vance’s characterization, responding:

“That is a fundamental difference between Vice President Vance and I.

“I do not believe that the American people should be assassinated in the street.”

A spokesperson for the vice president responded forcefully to the congresswoman’s comments, saying her remarks mischaracterized both the facts of the case and Vance’s position.

“On National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, AOC made it clear she thinks that radical leftists should be able to mow down ICE officials in broad daylight,” the spokesperson said.

“She should be ashamed of herself.

“The vice president stands with ICE and the brave men and women of law enforcement, and so do the American people.”

The shooting remains under investigation, but it has become a flashpoint in a broader political fight over immigration enforcement, public protests, and the role of federal law enforcement in Democrat-led cities.
