The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released shocking new data revealing that assaults on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have surged by a staggering 500%.
The figures come amid escalating violence and anti-ICE rhetoric from left-wing politicians and their corporate media allies.
In a blistering statement, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin confirmed that ICE officers are being increasingly targeted during enforcement operations.
ICE agents are facing violent mobs, vehicular assaults, and even doxxing threats aimed at their families.
Underscoring the severity of the growing threat, McLaughlin said:
“Just this week, an ICE officer was dragged 50 yards by a car while arresting an illegal alien sex offender.”
The wave of attacks extends beyond ICE to Border Patrol operations.
DHS confirmed that federal vehicles were rammed and vandalized during a lawful operation in Bell and Maywood, California.
Tires were slashed, vehicles totaled, and a mob formed around federal agents.
At least one individual was arrested for vehicular assault.
McLaughlin placed the blame squarely on Democrat politicians who she says are endangering the lives of federal agents through “despicable” rhetoric that emboldens criminals and vilifies law enforcement.
“Make no mistake, Democrat politicians like Hakeem Jeffries, Mayor Wu of Boston, Governor Tim Walz, and Mayor Bass of Los Angeles are contributing to the surge in assaults on our ICE officers through their repeated vilification and demonization of ICE,” McLaughlin said.
“From comparisons to the modern-day Nazi Gestapo to glorifying rioters, the violent rhetoric of these sanctuary politicians is despicable.
“This violence against ICE must end.”
According to DHS, the families of ICE agents are now being doxxed.
Personal information is being leaked online to intimidate and threaten agents.
But the department vowed to fight back.
“Those who dox our ICE agents will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” DHS stated.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem also issued a no-nonsense warning to extremists targeting law enforcement:
“You will not stop us or slow us down. ICE and our federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law.
“And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
Despite the violence, DHS reaffirmed its commitment to border enforcement, calling the effort “relentless and unapologetic.”
As ICE agents face rising danger on the frontlines, many are calling for greater support from Washington.
Most Americans want to see an end to the anti-police rhetoric that is putting lives at risk.
