Bill Clinton told lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee last week that he does not recall President Donald Trump ever saying anything that would suggest involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal conduct.
During a deposition tied to the committee’s ongoing investigation into Epstein and his network, Clinton was grilled about his appearances in materials connected to Epstein.
Amid the questioning, Democrats pressed Clinton about his past interactions with Trump as they attemtping to link the president to Epstein.
Clinton made his position clear.
“I hate this because I don’t think I should inject anything, but I do not want to leave the impression…” Clinton told investigators.
“He, the president, never — this is 20-something years ago — never said anything to me to make me think he was involved with anything improper with regard to Epstein.”
Later in the deposition, Clinton reiterated the point.
“As I said earlier, the only conversation I had with President Trump about this was in the early 2000s, and I have no information that he did anything wrong,” Clinton said.
Oversight Committee Probe Continues
The House Oversight Committee is investigating whether Epstein used his wide-ranging social connections to facilitate illegal activity for associates.
Epstein, a financier with ties to high-profile political, business, and entertainment figures, died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
His social circle included Clinton, Bill Gates, former Prince Andrew, and other prominent individuals.
Democratic lawmakers have focused heavily on Trump’s name appearing in various materials tied to Epstein.
Clinton, however, repeatedly testified that he had no knowledge of Trump having a relationship with Epstein and emphasized transparency.
“I just want it all out there,” Clinton said.
“I want everybody to get it all out there and let everybody see where we are.”

Clinton’s Own Ties Scrutinized
Clinton himself appears in several materials released by the Department of Justice, including one image placing him in a pool with Epstein’s convicted child trafficking accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.
He’s also pictured alongside several of Epstein’s victims whose identities were redacted.
Asked again whether he had discussed Epstein with President Trump beyond the early 2000s, Clinton was unequivocal.
“It’s the truth,” Clinton said.
As the investigation continues, Clinton’s testimony adds to the official record that, according to his sworn statement, he has no information suggesting President Trump engaged in wrongdoing related to Epstein.
