Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates’s “climate change” organization, Breakthrough Energy, has been forced to slash its workforce in response to President Donald Trump’s anti-globalist agenda.
According to an internal memo sent to Breakthrough Energy employees, the organization is making major cutbacks, The New York Times reported.
The news comes as Trump advances his efforts to crack down on what he calls the “Green New Scam.”
As reported by Just the News, bombshell emails show how Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) put politics before science when it published the 2009 “endangerment finding.”
The 2009 report kicked off nearly two decades of aggressive “climate” rules, as Slay News reported.
Trump’s EPA director, Lee Zeldin, said this week that the agency will review the endangerment finding.
In an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal, Zeldin wrote:
“We are driving a dagger through the heart of the climate change religion and ushering in America’s Golden Age.
“Today is the most consequential day of deregulation in American history.”
The review is part of a sweeping effort to curtail “climate” rules that have inflated the cost of everything from cars to home heating.
Gates has invested billions of dollars to supposedly fight “climate change.”
In the past decade, he has established himself as one of the leading voices in pushing the globalist green agenda.
The cutbacks at Breakthrough Energy demonstrate how Gates is adapting his efforts for the reality of the Trump administration.
According to three people familiar with the matter who were not authorized to speak publicly, the Times reported that the Breakthrough policy team in the U.S. was not likely to have much effect in Washington D.C.
The team in the U.S., which works on public policy issues, was heavily hit by the cuts.
However, Breakthrough Energy’s unit in Europe and most of its employees working on partnerships with other climate organizations, were also impacted.
But when asked about the cuts, a Gates spokeswoman insisted that he “remains as committed as ever to advancing the clean energy innovations needed to address climate change.
“His work in this area will continue and is focused on helping drive reliable, affordable, clean energy solutions that will enable people everywhere to thrive,” the spokesperson insists.
The sources said that instead of attempting to influence policy, Gates has turned his focus to building clean energy companies through the Breakthrough Energy Catalyst program, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, and the Breakthrough Energy Fellows, according to The New York Times.
The cuts in the company reportedly did not affect those areas, which fund start-up companies and entrepreneurs working on a range of renewable technologies.
Companies involved in clean energy production would need to be in line with Trump’s interest in “American energy dominance.”
The Trump administration says it wants to expand U.S. energy production at a time when demand for electricity is rising sharply.
Meanwhile, Gates and his organizations have been hit by investigations that have exposed shocking abuses at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
As Trump’s administration continues to expose alarming levels of deep state corruption in the federal government, details are beginning to emerge to reveal who has been benefiting from this unprecedented misuse of American taxpayer money.
Trump has tasked the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to investigate and eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse from federal agencies.
As Slay News has reported, DOGE has uncovered evidence showing that USAID has been wasting billions of dollars in taxpayer money on fraudulent foreign schemes.
Even more disturbingly, USAID has been using U.S. tax dollars against the American people by funding leftist corporate media propaganda efforts and even the bioweapons research that developed the COVID-19 virus in China.
The DOGE investigations found that USAID has been funneling tax dollars to the anti-American globalist efforts of Bill Gates, George Soros, and the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The findings give hope that the dismantling of USAID will deliver a major blow to the globalist agenda.
