House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has just delivered devastating news to Bill Gates by demanding the testimony of the Microsoft co-founder, along with six other high-profile figures, as part of the ongoing congressional investigation into the late convicted child predator Jeffrey Epstein.
Comer announced that seven individuals have been asked to appear for transcribed interviews as part of the committee’s ongoing investigation into Epstein’s network and associates.
“I’m calling on 7 individuals to appear for transcribed interviews,” Comer wrote on X.
“The Oversight Committee is continuing to seek the truth for survivors & all Americans,” he added.
Seven Figures Called to Testify
The individuals Comer requested to testify include:
• Bill Gates
• Kathryn Ruemmler
• Leon Black
• Lesley Groff
• Sarah Kellen
• Ted Waitt
• Doug Band

All three billionaire businessmen — Gates, Gateway founder Ted Waitt, and private equity investor Leon Black — appear in documents released by the Department of Justice under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
Comer also requested testimony from former Obama White House Counsel Kathryn Ruemmler, whose connections to Epstein recently resurfaced in newly released records.
Ruemmler stepped down as Goldman Sachs’ general counsel after the documents were made public.
Interview Dates Proposed
Comer proposed several interview dates in letters sent on Tuesday:
• April 16 — Ted Waitt
• May 13 — Leon Black
• May 19 — Bill Gates
Additional testimony was requested from former Democrat White House officials:
• April 21 — Kathryn Ruemmler
• May 5 — Doug Band
Band previously served as a key adviser to former President Bill Clinton.
The committee also asked Epstein’s assistants, Lesley Groff and Sarah Kellen, to sit for voluntary interviews in early June.
Waitt has also drawn attention because of his past relationship with Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted on federal child sex trafficking charges.
Mounting Scrutiny Around Gates
The request represents a significant blow for Gates, who has spent years attempting to downplay his relationship with Epstein.
As additional documents continue to emerge, critics argue that Gates’s previous explanations may face renewed scrutiny if he appears before Congress.
If Gates agrees to testify, lawmakers could question him directly about the nature and extent of his interactions with Epstein.
If he declines to appear, however, the refusal could raise further questions.
The scandal is already hurting Gates’s professional reputation.
Last month, he was forced to drop out of a tech event at the last minute after his links to Epstein were exposed yet again in the last document dump from the Justice Department.
The Gates Foundation confirmed that Gates would no longer deliver his scheduled keynote at India’s flagship AI summit following mounting backlash tied to his past association with Epstein.
“After careful consideration, and to ensure the focus remains on the AI Summit’s key priorities, Mr. Gates will not be delivering his keynote address,” Gates Foundation India said in a statement on X.
“The Gates Foundation will be represented by Ankur Vora, President of Africa and India Offices, who will speak later today at the Summit,” the foundation added.

The sudden withdrawal comes as newly released Epstein Files continue exposing links between the convicted sex trafficker and influential political, financial, and technology figures across the world.
Among the latest revelations drawing scrutiny is a newly surfaced 2011 email from Hollywood producer Barry Josephson referencing a disturbing question allegedly raised during a discussion involving Epstein and Gates, as Slay News reported.
The email, titled “your neice [sic],” quoted Epstein as asking:
“How do we get rid of poor people as a whole?”
The correspondence appears in U.S. Department of Justice material labeled DOJ Data Set 9 (EFTA01157206.pdf).
A spokesperson for Gates dismissed the claims as “absolutely absurd and completely false.”
Emails in the Epstein files also suggest that Gates gave his ex-wife a sexually transmitted disease (STD) and attempted to give her drugs to treat it without her knowledge or consent.
It was later reported that Gates had affairs with two Russian women while he was married to Melinda Gates.
In response to the bombshell, Gates admitted to the affairs but denied other elements.
People magazine previously reported:
“Bill Gates this week admitted to having two affairs with Russian women while married to Melinda French Gates and apologized to staff at his charity for his past ties to sex offender and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein — while maintaining he was not part of anything ‘illicit.’”
Epstein Scandal Continues to Expand
The Oversight Committee’s latest requests follow closed-door depositions last week with former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Both denied knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities during their testimony.
Comer said the committee uncovered additional information during those interviews.
“We’re going to bring more people in,” Comer said.
“We’re not finished.”
The expanding investigation is part of a broader effort by lawmakers to examine Epstein’s network of wealthy and politically connected associates.
With the committee now seeking testimony from Gates and several other prominent figures, the probe appears poised to widen further in the months ahead.
