Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has tested positive for COVID-19 just one day after meeting with President Joe Biden at the White House.
Pelosi appeared unmasked at a White House event on Wednesday alongside Biden and several top Democrats.
Her spokesman Drew Hammill announced the news in a Thursday tweet
Pelosi received a positive test result for COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic, Hammil said.
He added that the speaker had tested negative earlier in the week.
“The Speaker is fully vaccinated and boosted, and is thankful for the robust protection the vaccine has provided,” Hammill said.
Pelosi will “quarantine consistent with CDC guidance, and encourages everyone to get vaccinated, boosted and test regularly,” he said.
