British Sports Host Collapses Suddenly During Live Broadcast

British sports host Laura Woods gave viewers a major scare on Tuesday after suddenly collapsing during a live ITV/TNT Sports TV broadcast.

The unexpected incident prompted her co-hosts to physically catch Woods as she fell forward, live on air.

Woods, 38, was covering the international friendly between England and Ghana’s women’s teams when the alarming moment unfolded.

Fellow host and former soccer star Ian Wright and analyst Anita Asante reacted instantly.

“Sorry to worry everyone.

“I’m OK, the wonderful paramedics at Saints have said it’s probably a weird virus, just need a bit of rest & hydration.

She added that she was “really embarrassed that happened on TV.”

Woods continued by thanking her ITV colleagues “who have really looked after me tonight.”

She also apologized to Wright and Asante, saying:

“And to Wrighty and Neets for catching me, and sorry again.”

Her fiancé, former “Love Island” contestant Adam Collard, also reassured the public, posting on X:

“Laura is all ok and with the right people.

“Thank you for all of your kind messages.”

Woods is one of the most recognizable sports broadcasters in the U.K.
