Radical Democrats in California have passed a disturbing new piece of legislation that will allow children to be removed from their families if the parents refuse to “affirm their gender identity.”
The California Assembly passed AB 957 on Friday.
The controversial bill will grant judges the authority to strip parents of their rights to custody of their own kids if they fail to support the child’s transgender transition.
The passing of the bill was first revealed by California Capitol Correspondent Ashley Zavala.
Zavala highlighted the rift between the Republicans and Democrats over the bill’s stipulations.

Republicans argue that, when ruling on custody cases, judges already possess the discretionary power to consider all aspects of a child’s well-being.
The considerations in such cases already include gender identity.
However, Democrats insist that a parent’s affirmation of a child’s gender identity is crucial for their mental and emotional health.
“Parents affirm their children,” said Democrat California State Rep. Lori Wilson.
“Typically it happens when their gender identity matches their biological gender.
“But when it doesn’t, the affirmation starts to wane…
“Our duty as parents is to affirm our children.”

The proposed law cleared the Assembly after some final tweaks and has already been given the nod by the Senate, according to the Gateway Pundit.
All that’s left now is for Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom to either sign or veto the bill.
A.B. 957 originally passed the California State Assembly back on May 3.
The Daily Signal reported on Friday that Assembly Member Lori Wilson (D-Suisun City) wrote the bill and introduced it on February 14.
However, State Senator Scott Wiener, a childless “woke” Democrat who co-authored the legislation, amended it in California’s State Senate on June 6.
The move will give California courts full authority to remove a child from his or her parents’ home if the family refuses to comply with the radical Left’s transgender ideological agenda.
But this is not the most sinister part of the bill, though.
Conservative activist Greg Price noted that parents could be charged with child abuse, a criminal penalty, if they object to their child’s “preferred pronouns.”
Essentially, the move will make it a crime for a parent to “misgender” their own kids.

The Free Beacon reports that the legislation “makes no distinctions regarding the age of a child, how long a child has identified as transgender, or affirmation of social transition versus medical sex-change treatments.”
This is not the first time that Wiener has waged a war on California families, however.
The Free Beacon notes that Wiener is simultaneously advancing a separate bill that would require foster parents to promise to “affirm” trans-identifying children.
He also introduced a law in 2022 that would make California a so-called “sanctuary” for out-of-state children to undergo life-altering, irrevisable sex-change surgery without their parents’ consent.
Wiener’s most infamous authored piece of legislation came back in 2017, however.
The “woke” Democrat lawmaker succeeded in his effort to lower the penalty for knowingly spreading HIV to sexual partners from a felony to a misdemeanor.
In Wiener’s vision for America, people can spread a deadly disease with minimal consequences while parents lose their kids and face criminal charges for trying to raise them properly by telling them the truth.
