Rapper Cardi B ignited backlash after delivering a profane, anti-ICE tirade onstage during the opening night of her “Little Miss Drama Tour” in Palm Desert, California, remarks critics say crossed the line from political activism into rhetoric targeting federal law-enforcement officers.
Cardi B, who has a long record of left-wing political advocacy and opposition to immigration enforcement, climbed onto an elevated platform while singing “La Cucaracha” on Wednesday night.
She then addressed the crowd directly, asking whether Guatemalan or Mexican fans were present before issuing a warning aimed at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“B*tch, if ICE comes in here, we gonna jump they as*es,” she said.
The statement drew loud cheers from the audience, prompting the performer to escalate further.
“I’ve got some bear mace in the back!” she shouted.
“They ain’t taking my fans, b*tch!”
She then pivoted back to performing, launching into her hit song “I Like It.”

Trump Supporters Condemn Remarks
The comments quickly circulated online, drawing sharp criticism from allies of President Donald Trump.
Many argued the rhetoric encouraged hostility toward federal officers enforcing U.S. immigration law.
Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz responded on X:
“Wow Cardi B is now trying to incite violence against our ICE officers.”
He added:
“Cardi B is very close to Jay-Z & Roc Nation and was a key surrogate for Kamala Harris and the Democrats in 2024.
“What an absolutely disgusting person.”

Pattern of Political Activism
Cardi B has frequently used her public platform to attack Trump and Republican border-security policies while praising Democrat leaders and condemning ICE as “racist” and “terrorizing” communities.
She also publicly supported Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance, appearing in game-day coverage alongside celebrities including Pedro Pascal, Lady Gaga, and Ricky Martin.
Cultural Divide Widens
Left-leaning commentators largely defended the onstage remarks as joking or playful, while conservatives rejected that framing and warned that rhetoric targeting federal law enforcement contributes to a broader climate of hostility against officers carrying out immigration policy.
Cardi B has not publicly addressed the backlash.
Her national tour is scheduled to continue in the coming weeks, ensuring the controversy surrounding her anti-ICE remarks remains in the spotlight.
