Far-left Professor Cornel West stormed off “Piers Morgan Uncensored” during a heated panel on the political assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
West suffered an on-air meltdown Monday night after being pressed on his past claims that President Donald Trump led a “neo-fascist” movement.
The discussion began with Morgan highlighting what he called the “relentless” demonization of Trump and his supporters by the Left.
He particularly highlighted the constant comparisons to Hitler and the Nazis.
Such hate-filled rhetoric from the Left has come under fire amid increasing violent attacks against conservatives.
“There is little doubt to me that the constant rhetoric on the Left — the woke Left — ever since Donald Trump came into power in 2016 has been this relentless use of the phrases ‘Hitler,’ ‘Nazis,’ ‘fascists’ about Trump and about Trump’s supporters,” Morgan said.
He argued that such divisive rhetoric has seeped into impressionable minds.
It is widely believed that such language has helped fuel the kind of political violence that ended with Kirk’s assassination.
Morgan then asked West directly:
“Do you agree that this language, this relentless, in my view, woeful misuse, particularly of the word ‘Nazi,’ towards Trump and his supporters, is part of the problem?”
West avoided a direct answer, instead blaming what he called “organized greed and weaponized hatred” for eroding America’s moral fabric.
He insisted hatred is “promiscuous” and not tied to one political side.
But fellow panelist Andrew Wilson, co-host of the “Whatever” podcast, challenged West head-on.
Wilson noted that West himself had described Trump’s administration as “neo-fascist.”
“Yes indeed, you’re absolutely right,” West admitted.
His response then sparked a shouting match as Wilson argued that rhetoric like his was exactly what led to Kirk’s murder.
West rejected the connection, insisting there is “such a thing as neo-fascists.”
But when Morgan tried to move the debate forward, West snapped.
West accused Morgan of being more interested in ratings and “making money” than dialogue.
“Charlie Kirk is made in the image of God just like any other human being,” West said.
West then accused Morgan of running a “joke” debate and abruptly walked off the set.
“It’s not worth it!” he said as he stormed away.
After West’s exit, Morgan said it was “farcical to quit a debate where we’re literally debating about the importance of free speech and being able to listen to each other’s opinions.”
