Dan Crenshaw Heckled, Booed by Crowd: ‘Moron’

Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) was heckled by a teenage girl and booed by the crowd during an appearance at a Montgomery Party Tea Party PAC meeting this week.

During a question-and-answer session on Monday evening, a young woman took the microphone and said:

“I’ve seen you claim to be a Christian.

“You’ve talked about God, but when you claim Jesus to be a hero archetype, you not only lied about Jesus not being real, but you lied about being a Christian.”

She read a recent quote Crenshaw gave on a podcast and said: “I can’t wrap my head around this.”

Crenshaw seemed upset by the question and rudely rebuked her: “Well, I will help you.

“Put a period after Jesus and don’t question my faith.” (See video below)

The crowd erupted with some booing Crenshaw while others told him not to talk to a kid in that manner.

One man can be heard yelling, “moron.”

Crenshaw continued: “Nowhere in that quote am I saying Jesus is not real.

“That’s a ridiculous statement”

Someone in the audience asked Crenshaw if Jesus is the son of God.

Crenshaw said:

“Of course, he’s the son of God.”

The young girl says: “You can say two different things.

“You can say that on a podcast, and you can say this here.”

Crenshaw said: “On the podcast, nobody would have understood it that way.

“I think you’re twisting it that way, which is not very Christ-like, which is not very Christian.

“It’s not. It’s not, and I’m not going to have my faith questioned.”
