Radical Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is in full panic mode after a proposed congressional redistricting map in Texas threatens to boot her out of her own district.
The congresswoman is claiming the move is all part of a Republican “power grab.”
Taking to social media, Crockett lashed out, accusing the GOP of trying to “silence voters” and “suppress votes” through the new redistricting plans.
In a post on X, Crockett blasted:
“Republicans in Texas just rolled out their proposed Congressional map that cut 5 Democratic seats out of thin air.”
The Democrat lawmaker didn’t mince words, doubling down on her claims that the redistricting process is designed to protect Republican power rather than ensure fair representation.
“Let’s be clear: these maps are not about representation, it’s a power grab to silence voters and suppress votes,” Crockett continued.
“They know their policies are unpopular, and they are afraid of losing.
“So what do they try to do? Cheat.”
Crockett, who has made a name for herself among progressives for her fiery opposition to President Donald Trump, then acknowledged on video that the new map would move her out of the district she currently represents.
“I currently don’t live in the [Congressional District] 30 that they created,” she said.
“They are supposed to take that into consideration, and these are some of the things that the court will look at when they’re trying to determine whether or not there were problems with creating the maps.”
She didn’t hold back, criticizing the GOP for what she believes is an intentional act to skew the system to their favor.
“It’s really awful,” Crockett added.
“It is a hot mess, and it is so sad that these people have no integrity and could care less about doing what’s right.”
The Democratic congresswoman, who represents a district in Dallas, expressed frustration at the political maneuvering.
“It truly breaks my heart to have people sign up [to] run for office, say that they want to help their communities, and they’re doing everything to hurt communities,” she said.
“It’s very disheartening that these are the people that are in control.”

Despite Crockett’s fierce criticism, the proposed map is not yet finalized.
The Texas legislature will hold a public hearing to allow citizens to voice their opinions on the matter, which has become a highly contentious issue across the state.
Crockett promised to make sure her constituents have their voices heard, even offering transportation to get them to the hearings in Austin.
“They want to exhaust us, and I want us to dig deep and show them even more energy than they could have ever imagined coming from us, us being we, the people,” Crockett said.
The fight over redistricting in Texas is just the latest chapter in the state’s ongoing political battle, one that has been marked by increasingly partisan divisions.
Crockett, referring to the state’s historical role in the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, urged Democrats to stand up and rise against what she sees as another blow to the state’s democratic principles:
“We are the state that actually brought the country Roe v. Wade; it is time for us to rise.”

With the GOP continuing to strengthen its grip on Texas politics, Crockett’s fiery rhetoric and fight against the redistricting plan reveal just how high the stakes are in the Lone Star State.
As Republicans aim to solidify their control, the battle over redistricting promises to be a flashpoint in the ongoing struggle for political power in the state.

As this controversy unfolds, it’s clear that Texas Democrats, led by the likes of Crockett, will stop at nothing to cling to power as they accuse Republicans of trying to cheat their way to victory.
The outcome of this redistricting battle could have far-reaching implications for future elections and may well shape the trajectory of Texas politics for years to come.
