Democrat Rep Claims Trump Wants to ‘Murder’ American Citizens

Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) has claimed that President Donald Trump may soon begin “murdering” Americans, escalating Democrat attacks on the administration’s military campaign against narcoterrorist networks in the Caribbean and Pacific.

Moulton, who is running for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts, made the claim during an appearance on CNN while criticizing Trump’s expanded maritime counter-narcotics operations.

“The President of the United States and his Secretary of Defense are conducting murder on the high seas,” Moulton said.

“They’re committing murder and Americans should care.

“None of us like drug traffickers, but we have laws that say that drug traffickers don’t get summarily executed, and if it’s happening off the coast of America with people that we don’t know, just give it time before Donald Trump starts doing the same kind of thing to people we do know right here at home.”

The administration has designated major South American drug cartels as terrorist organizations and deployed roughly 15,000 U.S. troops to the Caribbean Sea as part of a wider effort to disrupt fentanyl and narcotics routes into the United States.

Military personnel have destroyed roughly two dozen boats and submersible vessels operating in international waters.

Democrat lawmakers intensified criticism last month after The Washington Post published a report claiming War Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a “kill them all” order regarding survivors of a destroyed drug-running vessel.

Military Officials Dispute “Kill Order” Allegations

Senior officials have pushed back sharply.

Adm. Mitch Bradley, the commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, told lawmakers in a closed-door briefing that Hegseth gave no such directive.

In the September incident cited by Democrats, Bradley said he personally ordered a follow-up strike because the traffickers were still in communication with other cartel members and attempting to salvage narcotics.

Democrats have demanded the public release of classified video footage of that strike.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), who reviewed the footage, told NBC News he supports declassification if it can be done without compromising national security.

“I will say that the [Department of War] may have valid concerns about revealing what we know about tactics and techniques that these cartels are using or about our sources or methods,” Cotton said.

“I would trust Secretary Hegseth and his team to make the decision about whether they can declassify and release the video.

“But again, there’s nothing remarkable on that video in my opinion.”

The administration has maintained that its operations are lawful, necessary, and targeted at narcoterrorist groups responsible for the fentanyl crisis and hundreds of thousands of American deaths.
