Diddy Scores Legal Victory After Accuser Misses Court Deadline to Publicly Identify Herself

A lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs has been dropped by the courts, securing a major legal victory for the disgraced music mogul.

However, the rapper did not beat the allegations of a violent sexual assault.

The case was dropped because the accuser refused to follow the rules of open court.

The judge overseeing the case gave the anonymous accuser a deadline to publicly identify herself.

However, the woman failed to reveal her real name before the deadline, so the judge tossed the case.

As reported by The New York Post, a federal judge in New York dismissed a lawsuit filed by an anonymous woman who alleged Combs assaulted her nearly three decades ago at a party in 1995.

Known only as “Jane Doe,” the woman claimed the now-disgraced rapper made unwanted advances before striking her when she rejected him.

She initially filed the suit in October, as Combs continues to drown in a tidal wave of accusations from women accusing him of everything from abuse to sex trafficking.

However, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman made it clear: no name, no case.

Liman granted the woman the chance to refile under her real name, as required by the court.

Instead, she chose to remain in the shadows.

Her attorney, Tony Buzbee, tried to push the case forward under the veil of anonymity.

Yet, Combs’s legal team strongly objected, and the court sided with the pro-Democrat music star.

The judge gave her until March 20 to refile using her legal name.

When the deadline came and went with no updated filing — and no request for more time — Judge Liman dropped the gavel.

In his ruling, the judge noted:

“As of today, March 31, 2025, [Doe] has not filed a complaint in her own name, nor has she sought an extension of time to do so.”

Combs’s legal team wasted no time crowing about the dismissal and taking aim not just at this accuser but at the broader legal strategy being used against their client.

“This is now the second case brought by these attorneys against Mr. Combs that has been dismissed in its entirety.

“It will not be the last.”

“For months, we have seen case after case filed by individuals hiding behind anonymity, pushed forward by attorneys more focused on media headlines than legal merit,” the lawyers added.

“The other claims, like the one dismissed today, also will not hold up in a court of law.”

The lawsuit was one of many circling the fallen hip-hop mogul.

Diddy was hit with a flood of lawsuits after he was slapped with federal sex trafficking charges in September.

Combs, once a darling of the entertainment industry and a self-proclaimed cultural icon, is now being held without bail in a Brooklyn detention center, awaiting trial in May.

As the court battles pile up, so do the dismissals.

Nevertheless, Diddy’s legal troubles are far from over.
