The Department of Justice (DOJ), under the leadership of Attorney General Pam Bondi, has announced a sweeping policy shift aimed at phasing out non-essential foreign language services across federal agencies.
The move is part of President Donald Trump’s broader effort to solidify English as the official language of the United States.
The Trump administration is seeking to prioritize national unity through assimilation over what many view as divisive identity politics.
In a press release, the DOJ declared it would lead “a coordinated effort across federal agencies to minimize non-essential multilingual services.”
Instead, those resources will be redirected toward “English-language education and assimilation.”
“As President Trump has made clear, English is the official language of the United States,” Bondi said.
“The DOJ will lead the effort to codify this principle and eliminate wasteful virtue-signaling policies across government agencies to promote assimilation over division.”
The new policy follows Trump’s March executive order designating English as the official language of the U.S.
The move was cheered by millions of Americans who are fed up with taxpayer-funded language accommodations that prioritize political correctness over cultural cohesion.
“From the founding of our Republic, English has been used as our national language,” the executive order reads.
“Our Nation’s historic governing documents, including the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, have all been written in English.
“It is therefore long past time that English is declared as the official language of the United States.”
The DOJ’s action is just the latest example of the Trump administration delivering on promises to restore common sense and end bureaucratic waste.
The push to reduce foreign language programs dovetails with Trump’s broader America First platform.
Trump’s agenda is focused on border security, national identity, and a renewed commitment to the core values that built the nation.
According to Breitbart News, the administration has also directed the Department of Homeland Security to “end language translation services” for individuals calling about immigration or employment status inquiries.
In other words, no more taxpayer-subsidized hotlines helping illegal aliens or non-English speakers navigate a broken system.
For conservatives, the message is clear: America is a nation built on a shared culture, and language is a key part of that.
The Trump administration is once again doing what Democrats refuse to do by putting American values and unity above globalist pandering.
As Bondi noted, this policy is about more than just language.
It’s about restoring a sense of national pride and ending the left’s decades-long campaign to balkanize America through government-sponsored identity politics.
With English now firmly enshrined as the language of government, Trump is once again delivering where others only offered lip service.
