Elon Musk has issued his starkest warning yet about the escalating dangers facing high-profile dissidents, revealing that the political climate, supercharged by left-wing radicalization, has made it effectively impossible for him to appear in public after the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
In a candid interview with podcast host Katie Miller, Musk described a security environment so volatile that one misstep could be fatal.
“There are serious security issues,” Musk said.
“It’s not that I don’t want to. I simply can’t.”
He added, “[Charlie’s assassination] has reinforced the severity of the situation, where life is on hardcore mode.
“You make one mistake, you’re dead.
“It only takes one mistake.”
Disturbingly, the assassination has escalated the threat level for anyone challenging entrenched globalist power structures, and Musk knows he’s on their radar.

Musk Blasts Europe’s “Nazi Characteristics” as EU Hits X with $140 Million Fine
But Musk didn’t stop there.
He unleashed a blistering critique of the European Union after unelected foreign bureaucrats in Brussels hit X with a punitive $140 million Digital Services Act penalty.
The fine is openly designed to kneecap the one major platform resisting censorship.
“I didn’t do the Twitter purchase because I thought it was a great way to make money,” Musk said.
He added, “I knew that there would be a zillion slings and arrows coming in my direction.
“It really felt like, there was a civilizational danger that unless one of the major online platforms broke ranks, then, because they’re all just behaving in lockstep along with the legacy media.”
“Literally, there was no place to actually get the truth.
“It was almost impossible,” he noted.
“So everything was just getting censored.
“The power of the censorship apparatus was incredible.”
Musk flatly accused eurocrats of sliding into authoritarianism, even describing their censorship posture as having “Nazi characteristics.”
And while X was tarred with the DSA fine, Meta, whose censorship record dwarfs X’s, escaped untouched.
Musk responded decisively, and X terminated the EU Commission’s advertising account.
However, legal scholars warn that this is only the beginning.
Under the DSA, the EU can demand up to 6% of global revenue.
It’s a weaponized compliance regime aimed squarely at political dissent.
A Classic Musk Moment: What If He Had Only $1,000?
Even in the middle of grave warnings, Musk didn’t lose his signature irreverence.
Asked what he’d do if forced to start over with just $1,000, he delivered a deadpan analysis that doubled as a jab at apocalyptic narratives marketed by global elites.
“It’s somewhat of an impossible dichotomy, because civilization would have had to have been destroyed or something, in which case $1,000 is not going to solve your problems,” Musk replied.
“And if civilization hasn’t melted, then I could probably just tell people to give me money, which I’ve done before.”
He continued:
“A lot of things would have to go wrong for that to be the case.
“It’s like, am I just emerging from prison, perhaps, with a stipend?
“All my companies have been confiscated.”
“I mean, it would take armageddon, which hopefully that doesn’t happen, like Ragnarok next level, and I lost.”
From there, he concluded:
“If you give me a dollar, you will get back much more than a dollar.”
Musk on God: “The Creator”
Miller pressed Musk on his spiritual beliefs, a topic he rarely touches.
“Who do you look up to the most?” she asked.
“The Creator,” Musk answered.
“What’s your position on God?” the host, and wife of Trump official Stephen Miller, fired back.
“God is the Creator,” Musk asserted.
“You don’t believe in God, though, do you?” Miller asked.
“Well, I believe this universe came from something,” Musk replied.
“People have different labels.”
DOGE Quietly Blocked Up to $200 Billion in “Zombie Payments”
The billionaire also revealed early wins for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), the anti-waste initiative he and President Trump have championed.
“We were somewhat successful.
“I mean, we stopped a lot of funding for, that really just made no sense, that was just entirely wasteful,” Musk said.
He continued:
“There was probably 100, maybe 200 billion dollars worth of zombie payments per year… simply by enforcing that there be a payment code and an explanation for the payment.”
“It seems insanely obvious,” he added, noting that “two or three percent of government payments” never should have been paid at all.
“It’s actually quite hard to stop,” Musk said.
“It’s a pretty rare individual that would ask the government to stop sending them money.”
Musk and Trump Alliance Strengthens: “We All Love Elon!”
Despite the escalating threats, the bond between Musk and President Trump is stronger than ever.
Musk shared a story from inside the Oval Office:
“He’s very funny,” Musk said of Trump.
“He’s got a great sense of humor.
“He’s very funny. He’s like naturally funny.
“It’s somewhat effortless.”
He recalled Trump joking during an exchange with Rep. Zohran Mamdani:
“Just say yes, it’s easier that way. It’s going to be.
“Don’t worry about it, just say yes.”
Trump returned the praise at a Pennsylvania rally this week:
“We all love Elon! Elon was up here campaigning!”

Escalating Danger, Escalating Resolve
Between assassination threats, sweeping censorship attempts, and bureaucracies weaponizing law to crush dissent, Musk warns that the fight over free speech has entered dangerous territory.
And the world’s richest man, one of the few refusing to bend, says the danger is now existential.
“Life is on hardcore mode,” he warned.
“You make one mistake, you’re dead.”
