Emails Expose Democrat Stacey Plaskett’s Secret Deep Ties to ‘Friend’ Jeffrey Epstein

Embattled Democrat Delegate Stacey Plaskett (D-USVI) is facing a full-blown political firestorm after newly surfaced emails and court exhibits revealed that her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein was far more extensive and far more financially entangled than she admitted while fighting a censure resolution last week.

Plaskett told Congress that Epstein was merely a “constituent.”

What she didn’t say is that the convicted pedophile and his inner circle pumped at least $30,000 in campaign funds into her political machine over three election cycles.

The details come not from rumor or speculation, but from sworn depositions, federal exhibits, and financial records that were submitted during a major New York case involving Epstein’s sprawling network.

And the revelations are devastating.

Plaskett Personally Sought Out Epstein and Cashed In

Plaskett first met Epstein after identifying him as a “potential donor” during her 2014 bid for Congress.

This was several years after Epstein was convicted and jailed for child sex crimes.

She visited his St. Thomas office, met him multiple times, and admitted under oath that she spoke with him on the phone at least five times.

Asked if the number exceeded 10, she replied: “I do not recall.”

In June 2014, then–Virgin Islands First Lady Cecile de Jongh, who managed Epstein’s USVI companies, personally lobbied him on Plaskett’s behalf.

The email is blunt:

“Jeffrey, Your help is needed.

“We are trying to get Stacey Plaskett elected to Congress … we would have a friend in Stacey

“Do you think any of your friends would give to her campaign?”

Records show that Epstein and his friends contributed generously to Plaskett’s campaign.

Epstein-linked donors poured money into Plaskett:

  • Epstein lawyer Darren Indyke: $10,700
  • Epstein accountant Richard Kahn: $10,700
  • Epstein assistant Bella Klein: $2,600
  • Epstein aide Lesley Groff: $2,600

Plaskett acknowledged all these contributions in her deposition.

She also sought funds from Epstein for the Virgin Islands Democratic Party, netting another $13,000.

Her fundraising efforts were so aggressive that she even pitched Epstein directly at his Manhattan mansion in late 2018, inside the notorious “House of Horrors” townhouse where he entertained billionaires, politicians, royal family members, and foreign intelligence-linked operatives.

She described it under oath:

“walking through an even larger foyer stairwell area to a room immediately there that would appear to be a dining room, where [Epstein] was sitting at a very long table…”

She left empty-handed only because Epstein “had not passed the DCCC’s vetting.”

When asked if she assumed that was due to Epstein’s status as a sex offender, she replied:

“I was not sure of the totality of the circumstances.”

Epstein Was Helping Her Target Trump

The newly released documents expose that Epstein wasn’t just a donor; he was an active adviser.

In February 2019, while Plaskett questioned Michael Cohen in a televised House Oversight hearing, Epstein was feeding her questions and providing real-time coaching to help her damage President Donald Trump.

After her round of questioning ended, Epstein messaged her:

“Good work,” he wrote.

This was eleven years after Epstein’s first child sex-crime conviction.

Web of Influence Goes Far Deeper

Plaskett’s version of events, that Epstein was just another island resident, has collapsed under the weight of documented evidence showing years of contact, financial entanglements, donor coordination, private meetings, and congressional coaching.

Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC), who authored the censure resolution, blasted the cover-up:

“Congress should never look the other way when a Member has a years-long financial and personal relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and then lies or stonewalls about it.”

“My censure resolution may have been voted down, but the facts… are not going away, and neither should the need for accountability,” he added.

Plaskett has refused to comment on the new email revelations.

Epstein Money, Political Power, and the USVI Machine

Epstein spent years cultivating the highest levels of political power in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the same government now under pressure from House Republicans to release more records on its dealings with the sex offender.

JP Morgan settled with the USVI for $75 million, including $25 million for anti–human trafficking programs.

Meanwhile, Senate Democrat investigators probe more than $1 billion in Epstein transactions that moved through the bank.

Plaskett was part of that world.

And she worked hard to keep it quiet.
