Newly reviewed financial records and emails reveal that Jeffrey Epstein quietly stashed computers, photographs, CDs, and other explosive materials in storage units scattered across the United States to hide the evidence from authorities as federal investigators closed in.
Records show that the convicted child predator was tipped off about police raids on his properties and paid private investigators to move the evidence as authorities prepared search warrants.
The details, first reported by The Telegraph, suggest that key materials connected to the convicted sex trafficker may have been hidden from investigators, and possibly never seized.
Six Storage Units, Paid for Until His Death
According to the report, Epstein rented at least six storage units nationwide, beginning as early as 2003.
Credit card records show he continued paying for them until 2019, the year he died in federal custody.
The units reportedly housed items from Epstein’s properties, including computers and CDs from Little Saint James, his private “Pedophile Island” in the Caribbean.
Search warrants included in the 3 million documents recently released by the Department of Justice reportedly indicate that federal authorities may never have searched these storage facilities.
If true, that raises an explosive question about where that material is now.
Private Detectives Moving Material Before Raids
Emails reviewed by The Telegraph show that Epstein allegedly directed private investigators to move computers and other materials out of his homes before law enforcement could execute search warrants.
In one 2009 email, private investigator Bill Riley wrote to Epstein and his attorney:
“Over the weekend I learned that plaintiff’s counsel are looking to get from me the computers and paperwork I took from Jeff’s house prior to the Search Warrant.”
Riley continued:
“I have them locked in storage and would like to know what to do with them.”
He further noted:
“Is it possible to give you these items for your review and safekeeping or give it to Darren Indyke or back to Jeff, etc.?”
The email also stated that the computer drives stored in the unit had been copied, or “cloned.”
What happened to those copies remains unknown.
Virginia Giuffre Lawsuit Mentioned
The 2009 correspondence occurred shortly after Epstein’s release from jail on prior child sex crime charges.
That same year, Epstein survivor Virginia Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit alleging she had been sexually abused as a minor and trafficked internationally.
According to the report, Riley informed Epstein that Giuffre’s legal team was seeking computer material removed from the pedophile’s home.
Computers Allegedly Moved After Tip-Off
Additional emails reportedly show Epstein instructed private investigators to remove computers from his Florida residence after he was allegedly tipped off about an impending police raid in the mid-2000s.
Staff communications also referenced transporting computers and CDs from Little Saint James to storage facilities and destroying some of the material.
If accurate, some of the material in storage may predate the earliest documents released by the DOJ.
More Units Near His Mansions
Epstein also rented a storage unit just five minutes from his New York mansion.
In a 2012 email, his accountant Richard Kahn reportedly described the contents as mostly furniture, but also “a lot of excess equipment,” including “computers, supplies, etc.”
Financial records show tens of thousands of dollars were paid to private investigators to rent and manage storage units on Epstein’s behalf.
Unanswered Questions
The DOJ has released millions of Epstein-related documents under federal transparency law.
However, the reported existence of storage units that may not have been searched raises fresh concerns:
Were all potential evidence locations fully investigated?
Were cloned hard drives ever recovered?
Who had access to those materials?
And most importantly, what was on them?
For years, Americans have demanded full transparency into Epstein’s operations, his associates, and the extent of his crimes.
The revelation that computers and materials were quietly moved into off-site storage, potentially ahead of law enforcement action, adds yet another layer to a case already defined by secrecy, power, and unanswered questions.
If the contents of those storage units were never seized, the story of Jeffrey Epstein may be far from fully told.
