Federal Agents Crush Anti-ICE Riots in Portland

So-called “protests” once again descended into chaos in Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday night.

Federal agents were forced to deploy non-lethal munitions to disperse a large crowd of radical protesters attempting to block an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility.

The confrontation unfolded outside the ICE building on Macadam Avenue.

A masked mob, many donning keffiyehs and anti-border slogans, attempted to stop government vehicles from entering or exiting the compound.

According to footage obtained by Turning Point USA’s Frontlines, the scene quickly escalated into a volatile standoff.

Agents were seen using rubber bullets, tear gas, and flash bangs after demonstrators refused to comply with repeated warnings to leave.

As tensions grew, protesters rolled a dumpster in front of the entrance, prompting law enforcement stationed on rooftops to unleash non-lethal blast balls to restore control.

This marks the latest incident in a string of anti-ICE protests in the “sanctuary” city.

Portland has seen lawless demonstrations for nearly two weeks.

The hundreds-strong crowd chanted far-left slogans like “Nobody is illegal on stolen land” and “Protect immigrants and refugees,” even as they attempted to shut down a federal facility.

As night fell, the “protests” took a more violent turn.

Law enforcement sources say the crowd not only ignored lawful orders to disperse but also launched smoke grenades at police officers, escalating the threat.

In response, Homeland Security officers in full riot gear pushed forward, firing tear gas and rubber munitions to break up the blockade and clear a path for government vehicles trapped inside the facility.

The scene was punctuated by anti-police chants like “Whose streets? Our streets!” as rioters hurled profanities at officers trying to maintain order.

Despite the intensity of the standoff, only two arrests were confirmed by the Portland Police Bureau (PPB).

Eduardo Diaz, 22, was taken into custody for pointing a laser at federal officers, a tactic that has previously caused eye injuries to police.

He was booked on a U.S. Marshal’s hold.

Mariana Rivera-Loza, 19, was arrested for criminal trespass after carrying a shield and refusing to leave the restricted area.

The Portland Police Department, which claims not to enforce immigration law, says its role was strictly to protect public safety.

However, critics argue the hands-off approach by local police has only emboldened left-wing agitators in the city.

Homeland Security has not yet issued a formal statement, and the full number of arrests remains unclear.

Portland continues to be a flashpoint in the national debate over immigration enforcement, sanctuary policies, and lawlessness on the Left.

This latest incident shows the federal government is once again being forced to step in where local leadership has failed.
