Federal Judge Backs Trump, Orders Public Release of Key Epstein Docs

In a seismic development that shatters years of political posturing, a New York federal judge has ordered the unsealing of long-hidden grand jury materials tied to Jeffrey Epstein’s convicted child trafficking accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

The ruling is a victory for transparency championed by President Donald Trump’s administration and a major blow to Democrats who, until recently, spent years battling to keep the files hidden from the public.

U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer ruled Tuesday that secret grand jury records from Maxwell’s prosecution must be released.

The Obama-appointed judge granted a request from the Department of Justice (DOJ), triggering the most significant disclosure in the Epstein saga to date.

Grand jury materials are almost never unsealed.

But Engelmayer, siding fully with the DOJ, confirmed that the new law signed by President Trump overrides that secrecy.

“The Act does not explicitly refer to grand jury materials,” Engelmayer wrote.

“The Court nonetheless holds — again in agreement with DOJ — that the Act textually covers the grand jury materials in this case.”

The ruling authorizes the release of grand jury transcripts, exhibits, and other evidence prosecutors provided during Maxwell’s 2021 criminal trial.

The material has been locked away for years.

Maxwell, now serving a 20-year federal sentence, was convicted of recruiting underage girls for sexual abuse by Jeffrey Epstein.

For years, Democrats have fought to keep the files sealed, only recently changing their tune after falling into the trap of believing that Trump wanted them hidden.

In recent months, Democrats and their corporate media allies loudly insisted that the Epstein network was being shielded and that “Trump allies” were blocking transparency.

The new ruling blows that narrative apart.

It was the Trump Justice Department, not Democrats, that formally moved to release the files after Congress passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, requiring the DOJ to make public all unclassified Epstein-related records.

The Act mandates sweeping disclosure of investigative documents related to Epstein, whose 2019 death inside a Manhattan jail ignited global suspicion and accusations of a government cover-up.

Epstein was found dead while awaiting federal sex-trafficking charges.

His death was ruled a “suicide.”

However, the conclusion that has never stopped fueling public distrust, especially as security cameras supposedly failed and guards allegedly slept on the job.

Democrats Spent Months Demanding Transparency — Trump Delivered It

With a federal judge now authorizing the release of the grand jury materials, the spotlight shifts to those who spent years weaponizing the Epstein case for political gain.

Democrats only demanded the records when they assumed President Trump was blocking them.

Now that Trump’s DOJ pushed for full disclosure and won, the question is whether Democrats still want the truth revealed or whether the political calculus has changed now that the files are actually coming out.

Either way, the Epstein case is entering a new phase, and it’s one that Washington’s political establishment may not be prepared for.
