Democrat Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has publicly blasted radical Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) over the congresswoman’s complaint that her party didn’t “fight harder” to block a government funding measure.
Fetterman slammed AOC in a post on X on Friday.
The senator fired back after AOC declared during speeches on Thursday:
“We need a Democratic Party that fights harder for us too.”
Sharing a screenshot featuring a quotation of Ocasio-Cortez’s comment, Fetterman wrote:
“Fight ‘harder’—a stunt that would have harmed millions and plunged us into chaos.
“We kept our government open.
“Deal with it,” he added.

AOC did not respond to Fetterman’s comments.
Fetterman and other Democrats voted last week to overcome a procedural hurdle.
The vote cleared the way for the chamber to vote on a government funding measure to avoid a partial government shutdown.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was among those Democrats who voted to move forward with a full vote on the measure.
However, after that cloture vote, Fetterman, Schumer, and most other Democrats voted against passing the actual funding measure.
Nevertheless, the measure ultimately passed anyway.
Ocasio-Cortez had urged senators to vote against cloture and against the measure.
“It should be very clear to every Senate Democrat that any vote for Cloture will also be considered a vote for the bill,” AOC said in a post on X.
“People aren’t going to be tricked with procedural games.
“They know exactly what is going on.
“Defend Medicaid,” she added.
“Vote NO on Cloture. NO on bill.”
