Former FBI Director and Special Counsel Robert Mueller is reportedly residing in a memory care facility, according to a new report.
The development was revealed by sources speaking with Real Clear Investigations.
This news comes amid the announcement from House Oversight Chairman James Comer that subpoenas have been issued to several high-profile figures.
Those who received subpoenas included Mueller.
They have been called to testify about the FBI’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.
However, Mueller has allegedly been “living in a memory-care facility for the past few years,” sources told Real Clear Investigations senior reporter Paul Sperry.
Mueller is expected to testify before the Committee on September 2 about the FBI’s handling of the Epstein investigation during the George W. Bush administration.
NEW: House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Robert Mueller to appear for a Sept. 2 deposition to provide details from an FBI investigation of Jeffrey Epstein from decades ago — even though sources tell me Mueller has been living in a memory-care facility for the past few years

The investigation into Epstein’s activities has remained a contentious topic, especially considering the high-profile individuals connected to the case.
Mueller is well known for his role as special counsel during the first Trump administration.
He led the investigation into false allegations of collusion between Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia.
His investigation culminated in a report that concluded there was no evidence that the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government to influence the 2016 election outcome.
While the news of Mueller’s alleged residence in a memory-care facility has raised questions, the House Oversight Committee has not yet commented on the report.
The committee issued a statement emphasizing that the subpoenas for Mueller and other individuals are “legally binding and duly authorized,” and that they will engage in “good faith negotiations with all parties” involved in the investigation.
Meanwhile, Slay News reported that Bill and Hillary Clinton have also been subpoenaed to testify on their relationship with convicted pedophile Epstein.
The Clintons, along with Mueller, former FBI Director James Comey, and former Attorneys General Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, William Barr, Jeff Sessions, and Alberto Gonzales, are all set to be questioned as part of this extensive investigation.
The House committee is determined to dig deeper into the conspiracy surrounding Epstein’s operation, as the shadow of this scandal continues to loom over high-level figures.
The investigation has already secured testimony from Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for her role in Epstein’s child sex trafficking operation.
Maxwell’s deposition has been delayed due to ongoing legal proceedings, but the push for accountability continues unabated.
The investigation focuses on uncovering the truth behind Epstein’s extensive network, which allegedly included multiple prominent figures.
The subpoenas also reflect growing frustration among conservatives who have long accused the Department of Justice (DOJ) of mishandling the case.
As the investigation unfolds, many are questioning whether justice will ever truly be served, especially given the controversy surrounding Epstein’s death in 2019.
Epstein, who was facing federal sex trafficking charges at the time of his death, was found dead in his jail cell under suspicious circumstances.
Many have long speculated that he was silenced to protect powerful individuals.
