Greta Thunberg & ‘Selfie Yacht’ Activists ‘Refused to Watch Footage of October 7 Atrocities’ Before Deportation

Climate celebrity Greta Thunberg was deported from Israel this week after she and fellow activists attempted to breach Israeli sovereignty under the guise of humanitarian aid.

The 22-year-old Swede was aboard the “Freedom Flotilla” ship Madleen, which was intercepted by the Israeli Navy in international waters and escorted to Ashdod before it could reach Gaza.

Thunberg, along with three others, signed deportation documents and boarded a plane to France—despite her well-publicized opposition to air travel.

Eight other activists who refused to sign remain in Israeli custody, pending judicial proceedings.

“I do more good outside of Israel than if I am forced to stay here for a few weeks,” Thunberg reportedly said.

Before deportation, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the IDF to screen unedited bodycam footage of Hamas’ October 7 massacre, in which terrorists murdered civilians, including women and children.

Thunberg and her companions reportedly refused to continue watching after realizing what was being shown.

“The anti-Semitic Greta and her fellow Hamas supporters turned a blind eye to the horrors of October 7,” Katz said.

“They prefer the murderers to the murdered.”

Israeli officials have strongly condemned the stunt, dismissing it as Instagram activism disguised as aid.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson David Mencer asked bluntly: “Who’s really feeding Gaza, and who’s feeding their own ego?”

The intercepted ship, according to Israel, carried a “life-saving cargo” that included baby formula and medical supplies, but officials emphasized that such aid was being manipulated as a political tool.

Israeli media referred to the intercepted vessel as a “selfie yacht” used to generate social media attention rather than deliver real solutions.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) claims the ship was boarded illegally in international waters and its crew “kidnapped.”

Footage appears to show activists tossing phones and laptops overboard before IDF personnel boarded, raising eyebrows about what they sought to hide.

The FFC also claimed the ship was sprayed with a “white irritant” by drones.

Israel responded by circulating images of IDF soldiers providing food, water, and life vests to the detained activists, underscoring the contrast between humanitarian claims and actual treatment on the ground.

Back home, Thunberg’s pleas for diplomatic intervention fell flat.

Sweden’s foreign minister rebuffed her, saying the activists knowingly ignored travel warnings and tied up consular hotlines meant for real emergencies.

“It’s dangerous to run a campaign that clogs the consular hotline,” she said.

In France, leftist MEP Rima Hassan, of Gaza descent, was one of six French nationals aboard.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump, when asked about the incident, said Thunberg should “go to anger management.”

Trump called Thunberg a “young, angry person.”
