Catherine O’Hara, the acclaimed actress known for her roles in “Home Alone,” “Beetlejuice,” and “Schitt’s Creek,” has died at the age of 71.
O’Hara passed away on Friday, January 30, her manager confirmed in a statement to People.
TMZ also confirmed the news.
The Los Angeles Fire Department told Page Six that crews responded to a call at O’Hara’s home at 4:48 a.m. local time.
She was transported to a local hospital in “serious” condition.
A cause of death has not been disclosed.

She began in the mid-1970s on the sketch series “Second City Television.”
She went on to earn a Primetime Emmy Award as part of a television ensemble and gained film acclaim in titles including “After Hours” and “Heartburn.”
O’Hara rose to global recognition in “Home Alone” and “Beetlejuice.”
Her final on-screen appearance was in a documentary about John Candy, released last year.
She is survived by her husband and their two children.
