Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has been found dead at his home, according to breaking media reports.
Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, was 71 years old when he died on Thursday morning.
The WWE Hall of Famer was found dead in his home in Clearwater, Florida.
Medics rushed to his home with operators stating it was regarding a “cardiac arrest,” TMZ reported.
A huge emergency response was triggered.
Police cars and medics were reportedly parked outside his home.
However, despite the best attempts of first responders, the Hulkster could not be saved, the outlet reported.
The legendary grappler had faced health issues in recent weeks.
He has reportedly undergone numerous surgeries.
It was reported earlier this week that he was “unable to speak.”
He was being monitored at home by medical staff after having a bad reaction to surgery.
Hogan’s ailing health had been widely reported in the weeks leading up to his death.
Reports included rumors that he was on his “deathbed” and in a coma.
However, Hogan’s wife, Sky, quickly quashed the reports.
She asserted that his heart was “strong” and he was recovering from a neck procedure.
Hogan became a larger-than-life figure during the 1980s.
He soared to new heights as part of Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), then the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
Hulk Hogan transformed professional wrestling into a family entertainment sport.
Before Hogan, wrestling catered to a fairly narrow audience.
His theatrics in the ring were magnetic for children and their parents, and it supercharged the sport.
Hogan kick-started a pop culture phenomenon with “Hulkamania” after defeating the Iron Sheik for the World Heavyweight Championship in 1984.
The craze that followed never went away.
In 1996, Hulk transformed himself from hero to villain by creating the NWO (New World Order) and became Hollywood Hulk Hogan.
It propelled him and professional wrestling to even more fame.
Hogan had countless iconic performances, including a matchup against Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at WrestleMania X8 in 2002 and a face-off with Andre the Giant at WM 3.
He also had memorable feuds with the Ultimate Warrior and “Macho Man” Randy Savage.
Hulk was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
However, he was removed in 2015 after a scandal erupted over racist comments while he was being secretly recorded during a sexual encounter.
Gawker posted the clip, and Hogan subsequently sued, winning the lawsuit.
He was inducted a second time in the WWE in 2020, this time as a member of NWO.
Hogan was the star of the 2024 Republican National Convention, when he set the room ablaze with theatrics.
He had an amazingly successful movie career, beginning in 1982, with “Rocky III,” playing the iconic character Thunderlips.
Hogan also starred in “No Holds Barred,” “Suburban Commando,” and “Mr. Nanny.”
He also starred in the hit VH1 reality show, “Hogan Knows Best,” with his family, Linda, Nick, and Brooke.
During his long career, he had scores of surgeries as a result of wrestling injuries.
He once said during a taping of “Object-ified” that he had no original body parts left.
