Hunter Biden Calls on Democrats to ‘Turn the Temperature Up’ on Far-Left Extremism

Hunter Biden is facing fresh scrutiny after calling on Democrats to “turn the temperature up” regarding far-left political extremism.

The younger Biden made the remarks in a new interview with “Wide Awake Podcast” host Joshua Rubin.

His comments immediately raised eyebrows, given the nation’s volatile political climate.

However, following a backlash, Hunter Biden insisted that his statement was not a call for violence.

Rubin asked Biden whether both parties needed to “turn the temperature down” amid rising extremism.

Biden rejected the premise entirely.

“I’m going to get myself in trouble for saying this,” Biden said.

“No, we need to turn the temperature up.

“We need to turn the temperature up, and we need people to see it for what it is,” he said.

Biden went on to explain that he believes Democrats must accelerate efforts to confront political realities rather than allowing themselves to be “picked apart — a death by a thousand cuts here.”

He quickly added that he “100%” did not mean violence.

“What I mean by turning the temperature up is we need to speak truth to power,” he insisted, arguing that Democrats and their media allies should be far more aggressive.

“We need more people in my party, in the Democratic Party, more people in elected positions or in positions of power, or the talking heads that get paid to go on MSNBC [now MS NOW], they need to start talking about this as it is, not as a conjecture about whether or not the Supreme Court [sic] and this debate,” Biden said.

He then shifted to attacking prominent media figures, singling out CNN’s Jake Tapper.

Biden accused Tapper of failing to act like a journalist.

“You have people like Jake Tapper who are having hardball discussions with Donald Trump over text,” Biden claimed.

“Like, what the f— are you talking about, man?

“That’s not journalism,” he added.

“That’s a complete and utter abdication of responsibility as a journalist.”

Tapper’s text-message exchange with President Donald Trump had already drawn criticism from MS NOW (MSNBC) host Lawrence O’Donnell.

O’Donnell blasted CNN for presenting it as an “exclusive” despite not verifying Trump’s identity.

“CNN presented a so-called interview… that they can’t even prove was Donald Trump,” O’Donnell said at the time.

CNN, however, defended Tapper’s conduct.

“Jake Tapper is a journalist — CNN journalists will always take any opportunity to ask questions of those in power and share what we learn with our audience,” a spokesperson said in a statement.

Biden also targeted CNN host Abby Phillip and conservative commentator Scott Jennings.

He accused Jennings of parroting administration talking points and criticizing Phillip for fact-checking him on-air.

“He goes out there, and he says, just parrots the talking points of the administration,” Biden said.

“And everybody does that, has done that in the past, but not when they’re parroting what are verifiable lies.

“And then Abby Phillips, ‘Well, that’s just not true, Scott.’”

He concluded with a broader indictment of the media landscape, claiming the “media ecosphere” was being “gobbled up by oligarchs.”
