Illegal Alien Arrested for Killing 8-Year-Old Idaho Girl

An illegal alien who ignored a federal deportation order has just been arrested for killing an eight-year-old girl in Boise, Idaho.

Local authorities say the tragedy should never have happened.

Honduran national Elvin Ramos-Caballero allegedly struck and fatally injured young Mora Gerety last Tuesday.

Ramos-Caballero killed the child while he was driving a pickup truck, according to law enforcement.

The child was rushed to a nearby hospital.

However, she died in the operating room.

The young girl was killed by multiple blunt force injuries, the Ada County Coroner confirmed.

Following the horrific crash, Boise Police Chief Chris Dennison said:

“This is a parent’s worst nightmare.

“Tonight, our hearts go out to the victim’s family, friends, and her community at large.”

According to federal immigration records, Ramos-Caballero entered the U.S. illegally in 2015 as an unaccompanied minor.

He illegally crossed the border into Hidalgo, Texas.

He was transferred to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The Obama administration released Ramos-Caballero to a sponsor the following month.

Even as a minor, Ramos-Caballero was still required to attend immigration court.

However, he failed to appear at his 2016 hearing, and a judge ordered him deported.

Despite the deportation order, he never left and remained loving in the country illegally.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested him last Tuesday after the fatal collision.

It remains unclear whether he had any additional encounters with law enforcement in the years since his deportation order.

The Boise School District confirmed Wednesday that Mora attended Washington Elementary School, located near the crash site.

“Our hearts are with the student’s family, friends, classmates, and the entire Washington community during this incredibly difficult time,” the district wrote.

“In moments like this, we are reminded of the vulnerability of the young people we serve and of the shared responsibility we all hold in keeping students safe.”

The case adds to growing concerns about criminal illegal immigrants remaining in the U.S. after ignored deportation orders, especially as the Trump administration continues its crackdown on sanctuary policies and failures of previous administrations to enforce immigration law.
