Jasmine Crockett: ‘MAGA Keeps Challenging My Blackness’ Because ‘I’m Educated’

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is once again lashing out at conservatives, this time claiming Republicans and President Donald Trump’s supporters are “challenging” her because of her race and education level.

In an Instagram post, Crockett shared what she claimed was a message from a man named Steve in Florida who allegedly insulted her.

“So MAGA keeps challenging my blackness due to the fact that I’m educated because it’s not racist at all to presume that I can’t be black if I have also been educated,” Crockett wrote.

“BOTH CAN BE & are, in fact true.

“I’m black & educated!

“Many of you are just the opposite & prove my point about your hate EVERY SINGLE DAY.”

She concluded her post by telling critics to “keep your hoods on & stay outta my ‘hood,’” framing Republican opposition as racist.

The remarks are part of a broader pattern for Crockett.

The congresswoman frequently accuses conservatives of racism and voter suppression.

During an appearance on MSNBC earlier this year, she claimed Texas Republicans’ new redistricting plan would leave African-Americans with “only one-fifth of the voting power that they should have,” Latinos with “one-third,” and Asians with “literally no power.”

She provided no evidence for these claims, however.

Her accusations drew swift pushback from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

The Republican governor responded:

“Well, first of all, it would not be a day that ends with the letter ‘y’ if Jasmine Crockett didn’t say something racist.”

Crockett has also accused Republicans of trying to “get rid” of black lawmakers in Congress.

Critics say this rhetoric is designed to inflame racial tensions rather than address substantive policy debates.

Crockett is no stranger to inflammatory language.

She has repeatedly smeared President Trump as a “piece of s***” and a “wannabe Hitler.”

The Democrat lawmaker also mocked Abbott, who is paralyzed, with the nickname “Governor Hot Wheels.”

Trump has hit back, dismissing Crockett and other far-left Democrats as “political hacks.”

The president argues that Crockett and her allies should undergo a cognitive exam.

Her escalating rhetoric comes as Democrats double down on portraying Republicans as threats to minority voters and democracy itself.

Conservatives argue Crockett’s attacks are baseless and reckless, pointing to her tendency to dismiss all opposition as racist.

Abbott and other Texas Republicans maintain their redistricting plan is designed to reflect population growth and voter distribution, not race.

Crockett’s remarks also fit into Democrats’ broader 2026 strategy heading into the midterms.

The tactic seeks to energize the Democrats’ base by portraying Republicans as racist and anti-minority, even when the evidence doesn’t support such claims.

By framing redistricting, law enforcement, and even basic policy disagreements as racially motivated, Democrats like Crockett are attempting to stoke fear and rally turnout among minority voters.

Conservatives argue this playbook has nothing to do with protecting constitutional rights and everything to do with preserving Democrat power in Washington.
