In a stunning display of hyperbole, Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) referred to President Donald Trump as a “wannabe Hitler” during an appearance on MSNBC.
Crockett made the remarks during “Alex Witt Reports” on Saturday.
The comments came amid the ongoing political drama surrounding the release of Jeffrey Epstein’s sealed grand jury files.
The topic that has sparked fury among Trump’s supporters and a sudden fierce backlash from Democrats who had previously fought to keep the files hidden.
“They want to show that they’re loyal to this… wannabe Hitler, for sure,” Crockett said of Republicans who have supported Trump’s demand for the release of Epstein’s grand jury testimony.
Crockett continued her tirade, accusing Republicans of pledging loyalty to Trump out of fear.
“They want to pledge their loyalty to him, and they know that he does not want this released,” she claimed, referring to Trump’s calls for transparency over Epstein’s mysterious death and the secrets he may have taken with him to the grave.

Her remarks came on the heels of an intense week of political infighting sparked by a Justice Department memo suggesting Epstein died by suicide and didn’t keep a client list, a conclusion that sent Trump’s base into an uproar.
Trump initially lashed out at his supporters, calling them “weaklings” who had “bought into this bullsh*t.”
However, under mounting pressure, he later demanded the release of Epstein’s grand jury testimony, a request that was carried out on Thursday by U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.
But, ever the provocateur, Trump dismissed the release as insufficient, calling it “not good enough for the troublemakers and radical left lunatics making the request.”
Crockett’s incendiary remarks reflect the growing vitriol on the left toward Trump, with many Democrats labeling his actions as authoritarian.
Crockett accused the president’s allies of sticking with him not out of genuine support, but because they fear what the release of Epstein’s files might reveal about Trump’s connections to the disgraced financier.
“If he’s trying to hide it, they understand that it is most likely problematic for him as well as the MAGA brand,” Crockett claimed, doubling down on the narrative that Trump’s push for transparency was, in her view, a cover-up for deeper, nefarious actions.
The Texas Democrat’s inflammatory comments came just days after Trump took aim at both Crockett and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), as Slay News reported.
On the White House lawn last Tuesday, Trump called for both lawmakers to take IQ tests to “see who comes out best.”
“AOC, look, I think she’s very nice,” Trump said.
“But she’s very low-IQ, and we really don’t need low-IQ.
“Between her and Crockett, we’re going to give them both an IQ test to see who comes out best.”
While Trump’s comments were likely meant to highlight the far-left positions of the two lawmakers, it’s clear they struck a nerve with Democrats.
Some have responded with outrage at what they perceive as personal attacks on their intelligence and character.
At the heart of this controversy lies the deep-seated mistrust between Trump’s supporters and the establishment.
Epstein’s death has left many unanswered questions, with Trump’s calls for transparency over Epstein being met with resistance from the Left.
Democrats are now accusing Trump of trying to cover up potential embarrassing connections.
In a nation increasingly divided, Crockett’s comments serve as a reminder of the political chasm that separates conservatives from liberals.
While Trump and his supporters demand accountability and transparency, the Left seems intent on deflecting from these calls and silencing any attempt at investigation.
