Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has praised Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) for stopping President Joe Biden from adding trillions more dollars to federal spending.
Bezos, the second richest man in the world, hammered Biden for the third time in a week on Twitter.
He blasted the Democrat president over inflation and schooled him on economics.
โRaising corp taxes is fine to discuss,โ Bezos tweeted.
โTaming inflation is critical to discuss.
“Mushing them together is just misdirection.โ
Deputy White House press secretary Andrew Bates fired back at Bezos over the comments.
โIt doesnโt require a huge leap to figure out why one of the wealthiest individuals on Earth opposes an economic agenda for the middle class that cuts some of the biggest costs families face, fights inflation for the long haul, and adds to the historic deficit reduction the President is achieving by asking the richest taxpayers and corporations to pay their fair share,โ Bates said.
โItโs also unsurprising that this tweet comes after the President met with labor organizers, including Amazon employees,โ Bates added.
Bezos responded by reminding America about Biden’s economic failings.
โLook, a squirrel!” Bezos said.
“This is the White Houseโs statement about my recent tweets.
โThey understandably want to muddy the topic.
โThey know inflation hurts the neediest the most.
โBut unions arenโt causing inflation and neither are wealthy people.
โRemember the Administration tried their best to add another $3.5 TRILLION to federal spending.
โThey failed, but if they had succeeded, inflation would be even higher than it is today, and inflation today is at a 40-year high.”

โIn fact, the administration tried hard to inject even more stimulus into an already over-heated, inflationary economy and only Manchin saved them from themselves.
โInflation is a regressive tax that most hurts the least affluent. Misdirection doesnโt help the country.โ
He reminded Biden of the great American company he built:
โ25 years ago yesterday, AMZN went public.
“As the Grateful Dead would say, ‘What a long, strange trip itโs been.’
โItโs been far from smooth.
“Lots of risk-taking, lots of invention, lots of mistakes, so much we still have to do better.
“I wouldnโt trade the ride for anything.โ
One Twitter user asked: โWhat was the IPO price?โ
Bezos said: โ$1.50โ
