Joe Rogan Slams ‘Progressives’ Who Celebrated Charlie Kirk’s ‘Public Execution’

Podcaster Joe Rogan said this week that he is still shaken by the disturbing reaction from so-called “progressives” who openly celebrated the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“The Charlie Kirk thing f—— opened up my eyes,” Rogan said Tuesday on his podcast.

Rogan was joined by country rock band The Red Clay Strays.

“I never expected so many people would celebrate that man’s murder,” he added.

“That is evil,” frontman Brandon Coleman agreed.

Rogan reflected on the bizarre phenomenon of ordinary people cheering the violent killing of a young conservative leader, saying it revealed how deep political indoctrination has warped the culture.

“It’s just bizarre, like, normal people that, I think, think they’re good people … they think that guy was a bad guy,” Rogan said.

“And I don’t think they’re right.

“And I think they were indoctrinated.

“And I don’t agree with everything that Charlie Kirk said or did.”

Coleman pushed back, saying, “I don’t want to see anybody die.”

“He’s not a bad guy,” Rogan replied.

Rogan noted that Kirk was just 31 years old and had built his reputation by going to college campuses and debating ideas with his critics.

But, he said, that was exactly why many on the Left despised him.

“It infuriated people because they felt like this guy is going against the progress that was being made in society,” Rogan explained.

The podcaster said the most frightening part of the tragedy was that it wasn’t fringe extremists celebrating Kirk’s death, it was ordinary Americans.

“The fact that people were cheering when he died — normal people, housewives, moms, f—— people working at banks, people working at various industries — celebrating a man getting shot in front of his kids in the front of the whole world,” Rogan said.

“Like what the f— is wrong with us?”

He added that, despite the grotesque reaction, most Americans recognized how wrong it was to cheer such an act.

“When this Charlie Kirk thing happens, there’s a giant blowback,” Rogan said.

“And most people recognize like, ‘Hey, as a collective, as a society, this is not right.’

“Regardless of whoever that person is … they just got shot in front of the whole world.

“It’s not a thing to celebrate ever.”

Rogan then blasted the hypocrisy of left-wing activists who claim to champion compassion and inclusion, but were quick to revel in a politically motivated murder.

“It’s disturbing that people who claim to be progressive, compassionate, and inclusive were openly celebrating gun violence and public executions,” Rogan said.
