Joe Rogan: Zohran Mamdani Is a ‘Psychopath’

Podcast host Joe Rogan blasted New York City’s far-left Democrat Mayor Zohran Mamdani, calling the socialist leader’s latest budget proposal reckless and unsustainable.

The outspoken podcaster slammed Mamdani during a Thursday episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

Mamdani’s fiscal year 2027 budget, published Tuesday, allocates an additional $1.2 billion for migrants in New York City, according to the New York Post.

Rogan reacted bluntly.

“He’s a f**king psychopath,” Rogan said.

“Like, the amount for migrants is crazy.”

“There should be zero dollars for illegal immigrants.”

Rogan described the spending as “crazy” and questioned why taxpayer funds should continue flowing toward individuals who entered the country unlawfully.

Debate Over Jobs vs. Handouts

Rogan’s guest, author and commentator Michael Malice, argued that funding is necessary to prevent migrants from stealing food.

“Human beings need food,” Malice said.

“What are you going to do?”

“Get them jobs,” Rogan replied.

When Malice pressed him on how that would work, Rogan joked:

“Get him a job in Guatemala.”

Malice countered that he would prefer giving migrants food rather than jobs, saying:

“I don’t want them taking American citizens’ jobs.”

The two agreed that the system is a “mess.”

“Unless you’re going to remove them from the country,” Rogan said.

“Right,” Malice responded.

Budget Draws Broader Criticism

Mamdani’s $127 billion budget proposal would exceed the total budgets of 47 states and would raise taxes on more than 3 million New Yorkers.

The Washington Post editorial board criticized the proposal on Wednesday, writing:

“The reality is that Americans may like the idea of ‘free’ stuff — it’s how socialists win elections — but they are less excited about having to pay for it.”

The board added:

“Mamdani claims his administration has found $1.7 billion to cut, but that’s a laughable number.”

It further argued that the New York City government is already too expansive, stating:

“The city should provide basic services, such as law and order, but instead it pours billions into social spending like housing and health care.”

Mamdani’s Immigration Stance

Mamdani has previously confirmed support for abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

During a January 20 appearance on “The View,” he reiterated that position.

In a December 7 post on X, he instructed New Yorkers on how to obstruct ICE agents.

On January 23, Mamdani also announced a “free” childcare policy available to all residents, including illegal aliens.

Rogan’s comments reflect growing frustration among critics who argue that New York’s fiscal trajectory prioritizes migrants and expansive social programs over core municipal responsibilities.

With spending levels rivaling entire states and taxes set to rise, Mamdani’s budget fight is likely just beginning.
