Kamala Harris Flees to Hawaii amid Democrat Panic over 2024 Election Losses

Vice President Kamala Harris has fled Washington D.C. for Hawaii following her crushing electoral defeat in the presidential election.

Harris has been notably absent from public view as the Democratic Party panics over election losses and grapples with a Republican takeover in Washington D.C.

After losing the presidential race to President Donald Trump in a landslide, Harris has taken a step back from the limelight and “escaped” to Kalaoa, Hawaii, the Washington Examiner reported.

Harris’s presidential campaign ended with a significant loss two weeks ago.

The historic defeat marked a dramatic close to her 100-day campaign.

This period saw her campaign blow through over $1.5 billion, with a staggering $654 million dedicated to advertising efforts alone.

Despite the defeat, Harris’s role in politics remains pivotal.

She has been seen in public a few times since the election, most notably during her concession speech at Howard University.

During the speech, she emphasized resilience and perseverance despite the unfavorable outcome.

While Harris has been less visible, President Joe Biden has been actively engaging in international affairs.

He participated in his last G20 summit and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation.

Biden also celebrated his 82nd birthday on Wednesday as he runs out the clock on the final weeks of his presidency.

Following the election, Harris joined Biden at Arlington National Cemetery for Veterans Day services.

After Veterans Day, Harris was spotted at the White House for a lunch meeting with Biden, greeted warmly by administration staff.

This meeting underscored her grim return to normality after being thrust into the limelight during multi-million-dollar star-studded campaign events.

It also marked a return to Harris’s subservient role under Biden after ousting the president from his own re-election bid.

Harris’s official schedule post-election has been relatively light.

Her office has declined to comment on the specifics of her activities or how long she will remain in Hawaii, adding an air of mystery to her current role and future plans.

The Democratic Party, now facing a loss of control in the Senate, is pushing to confirm Biden’s judicial nominees before the shift in the upper chamber’s majority.

This requires Harris’s presence in Washington for potential tie-breaking votes in her capacity as vice president.

A senior aide to Harris assured that despite her retreat to Hawaii, she would be available for any crucial votes in the Senate.

This December is expected to be a critical time for such votes, with Harris playing a key role in the final decisions before the Senate transitions to Republican control.

Despite the recent setback, Harris remains at the forefront of political speculation.

She is leading polls as a potential candidate for the California governor’s race in 2026.

Surprisingly, there is also speculation that she could be a contender in the 2028 presidential elections.

However, she would likely face off against Gov. Gavin Newsom in the 2028 Democrat primary and the two Californians can’t both run on the same ticket.
