Former Vice President Kamala Harris is facing fresh embarrassment after a popular social media personality claimed that a filmed interview with her was shelved because her answers were too incoherent to publish.
Kareem Rahma, a comedian and influencer best known for his viral “Subway Takes” series on TikTok and Instagram, revealed in a resurfaced Forbes interview that Harris’s appearance on his show was scrapped due to a particularly confusing response to a lighthearted question.
“They emailed me … the DNC, and they said, ‘Hey, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are really interested in being on your show,’” Rahma told Forbes.
“I said, ‘That sounds cool.’
“I’ll at least get to tell my daughter that I met the potential president of the United States or the not-president of the United States.”
The segment reportedly went downhill from there.
When asked what happened to Harris’s interview, Rahma was blunt:
“Her take was really confusing and weird and not good.”
“And so [we] mutually agreed that we shouldn’t publish it,” Rahma added.
“And I got lucky, because I didn’t want to get blamed for her losing.”
Pressed further, he reiterated that the answer was not salvageable.
“It was really, really bad, and it was inc— it didn’t make any sense.”
The question that stumped the failed presidential candidate?
Whether or not “bacon can be considered a spice.”
Rahma admitted he even attempted to re-edit the clip to make it more coherent.
However, he ultimately couldn’t find a version that didn’t reflect poorly on Harris.
The video was never released.

While the exchange has only recently gained attention, the original Forbes interview was published months ago.
The incident is the latest in a series of public moments that have raised questions about Harris’s communication skills and ability to connect with voters.
The issue that dogged her during the 2020 presidential primaries and persisted during her time in the White House.
Harris’s media appearances, including her 2024 interview on the podcast “Call Her Daddy,” have frequently drawn scrutiny.
Critics cite her tendency to deliver disjointed or vague “word salad” responses.
Harris replaced Joe Biden in the 2024 election after his underwhelming performance in the June debate against President Donald Trump.
However, Harris ultimately failed to rally enough support and was unable to translate national exposure into electoral momentum after Biden withdrew from the race last July.
While Democrats have defended Harris, moments like this continue to reinforce skepticism among voters who were unconvinced by her messaging and off-the-cuff remarks.
The DNC and Harris have not commented publicly on Rahma’s claims.
