Laura Loomer Hints at Primary Challenge After Trump Withdraws Endorsement of Marjorie Taylor Greene

Conservative commentator Laura Loomer ignited a wave of political speculation Saturday after hinting she may launch a primary challenge against embattled Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

In a social media post, Loomer suggested she may move to Georgia, just hours after President Donald Trump publicly revoked his endorsement of Greene in a sharply worded Truth Social post.

Loomer, a loyal Trump ally with 1.8 million followers on X, told her audience that the president said he wanted Greene “primaried.”

She followed with a pointed question:

“Should I move to Georgia?”

The timing of her post, paired with Trump’s blistering message describing Greene as a “ranting lunatic.”

It immediately prompted questions about whether Loomer is positioning herself as a potential challenger in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District.

Greene has not responded to Loomer’s comments.

A Long-Running Feud Reignited

Loomer and Greene have traded public attacks throughout the year, with tensions escalating since the summer.

Their feud intensified in August after Loomer criticized Medal of Honor recipient Florent Groberg, sparking multiple days of heated exchanges online.

On Saturday, Loomer revived her criticisms, calling Greene “no friend to MAGA” and accusing her of disloyalty dating back to 2021.

Loomer also resurfaced allegations about Greene’s political maneuvering in the 2022 midterm cycle and highlighted instances where Greene received public support from Democrats.

The comments only sharpened the split between the two conservative firebrands.

Trump’s Break With Greene Changes the Landscape

Trump’s late-night Truth Social post Friday formally severed his support for Greene, stripping her of a key political advantage.

In the statement, the president accused Greene of becoming consumed with “complaining,” claimed she had “turned Left.”

He also said Georgia conservatives were already looking for an alternative.

Trump promised “Complete and Unyielding Support” to the “right person” who enters the race, though he did not name any names.

The absence of a named successor has only fueled speculation that Loomer could be eyeing the opening.

A Potential 2026 Clash with National Implications

If Loomer were to relocate and launch a bid, the 2026 primary would instantly become one of the most closely watched House battles in the nation.

Georgia’s 14th District is overwhelmingly conservative, meaning the GOP primary typically determines the winner.

A Loomer–Greene showdown, amplified by Trump’s intervention and the pair’s long-running public feud, would draw national attention, major fundraising, and intense media scrutiny.

For now, Loomer has made no formal announcement, only the question that set off the political firestorm:

“Should I move to Georgia?”
