Leftist agitators have admitted to undercover reporters that far-left groups are funding the anti-ICE chaos in Minnesota, identifying multiple organizations fueling the unrest in Minneapolis as it continues to escalate.
James O’Keefe, conservative investigative reporter and founder of Project Veritas, says his team went undercover inside the Minneapolis anti-ICE protests.
The journalists, posing as protesters and members of the leftist-friendly corporate media, documented a hostile activist ecosystem tied to a network of left-wing NGOs, unions, and political groups driving the unrest.
O’Keefe reported that agitators surrounded his crew, admitted their affiliations on hidden camera, and revealed that organizations such as the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Make the Road New York, and the Independent Socialist Group were coordinating or fueling the demonstrations.
In some cases, agitators revealed that they are being funded by foreign leftist groups.
According to O’Keefe’s account, members of the protest crowd explicitly stated they are “an international organization fighting ICE.”
Other key agitators in the anti-ICE mobs revealed that they worked with labor and activist networks.
Undercover Team Attacked and Harassed
O’Keefe said his team faced physical hostility, including teargas, projectiles, and death threats, and were forced to retreat during the operation.
Organizers in the autonomous protest zone allegedly interrogated press members and targeted anyone perceived as not aligned with their agenda.
Left-wing agitators reportedly shouted “Not press! Not press! That’s a f*cking Fed!” as they aggressively confronted and attacked the infiltrators.
Who Are the Groups Named?
Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is a major labor union representing healthcare workers, public employees, and part-time workers in sectors like janitorial services.
SEIU is politically active and historically supports progressive immigration policies, including so-called “sanctuary” protections.
Make the Road New York is a far-left nonprofit that advocates for immigrant rights and social justice.
Reporting indicates that the organization has received millions in taxpayer-funded government grants for community programs.
According to undercover footage, members of the Independent Socialist Group acknowledged involvement in anti-ICE activities on the ground.

Broader Left-Wing NGO Landscape
O’Keefe’s undercover report comes as investigations have revealed that a sohisticated networks of organisations has been coordinating the anti-ICE “protests” in Minnesota and nationwide.
As Slay News previously reported, a coordinated network of far-left activist organizations played a central role in the street confrontation and nationwide unrest that followed Saturday’s fatal shooting of anti-ICE agitator Alex Pretti by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis, according to a detailed investigation.
The investigation by Fox News Digital found that agitators were already mobilized and actively tracking federal immigration agents minutes before the shooting occurred, using encrypted messaging platforms, live street alerts, and a shared database designed to monitor alleged ICE vehicles.
Agitators had been embedded in protest crowds to provoke confrontations with federal agents in an apparent effort to engineer chaos.
At the time of Saturday’s fatal shooting, federal agents were in Minneapolis to arrest an illegal alien with a criminal history.
Pretti, 37, and other activists were already on scene outside a donut shop on Nicollet Avenue, part of what investigators describe as an organized pattern of interference with federal law enforcement operations.
Within hours of the shooting, a nationwide network of socialist, communist, and Marxist-Leninist organizations leveraged the incident into coordinated protests across the country.
The speed of the response, fueled by short, emotionally charged, and out-of-context video clips, emojis, and rapid calls to action, revealed what the investigation described as a disciplined logistical and messaging operation.
O’Keefe’s operation further exposes the politically organized activism and funding structures behind anti-ICE demonstrations, linking protest energy to both labor unions and dedicated leftist groups with long histories promoting far-left causes.
What cannot be denied is that the Minnesota protests are not purely spontaneous but are connected to established NGOs and activist infrastructures with existing missions and funding streams.
