Leftist Arrested on Federal Charges for Threatening to ‘Disembowel’ Trump

A 50-year-old Indiana woman is facing federal charges after allegedly posting violent threats against President Donald Trump.

The threats included one in which Nathalie Rose Jones of Lafayette claimed she wanted to “disembowel” the president.

The Justice Department announced that Jones was charged with threatening to take the life of, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States, as well as transmitting threats in interstate commerce.

In a statement, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said:

“Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution.

“Make no mistake—justice will be served.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated law enforcement partners, especially the Secret Service Special Agents from New York and Washington, D.C., for their tireless commitment to protecting our leaders and our nation.”

According to prosecutors, Secret Service agents began monitoring Jones after discovering her Instagram account “nath.jones” had posted threats about Trump between August 2 and August 9.

In those posts, Jones referred to Trump as a “terrorist” and claimed his administration was a “dictatorship” responsible for “extreme and unnecessary loss of life” during the coronavirus pandemic.

She also called for his removal from office.

The threats allegedly continued on Facebook between August 6 and August 15.

In one particularly graphic August 6 post directed at the FBI, Jones wrote:

“I am willing to sacrificially kill this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea with Liz Cheney and all the Affirmation present.”

Days later, in an August 14 post to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Jones allegedly demanded:

“Please arrange the arrest and removal ceremony of POTUS Trump as a terrorist on the American People from 10-2 pm at the White House on Saturday, August 16th, 2025.”

Jones voluntarily sat for an interview with Secret Service agents, during which she again described Trump as a “terrorist” and a “nazi.”

She told investigators that if she had the opportunity, she would kill Trump “at the compound” if necessary, admitting she had a “bladed object” she considered her weapon for carrying out what she described as her “mission” to kill the president.

Authorities say Jones claimed she wanted to “avenge all the lives lost during the Covid-19 pandemic,” which she blamed on Trump.

On August 16, Jones attended a protest in Washington, D.C., that circled the White House complex.

Following the march, she was interviewed again by the Secret Service.

She admitted to making the threatening posts and confirmed that she was the owner of the “Nath Jones” Facebook account, but denied having any present intent to harm the president.

Matt McCool, Special Agent in Charge of the Secret Service’s Washington Field Office, said:

“Protecting the President of the United States is our highest priority, and every potential threat is addressed with the utmost seriousness.”

Jones remains charged in federal court as prosecutors pursue the case.
