Lindsey Graham Vows to ‘Sue the Crap Out of’ Jack Smith for Spying on GOP Senators

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has vowed to take legal action against anyone in the federal government allegedly involved in monitoring his private phone records during Special Counsel Jack Smith’s “investigation” into Jan. 6.

The senator’s fiery remarks followed bombshell reports revealing that Smith and his team, as part of their so-called “Arctic Frost” investigation, allegedly tracked phone calls from multiple Republican lawmakers well after the events of Jan. 6, 2021.

‘Abuse Of Power’

Tuesday night on Fox News’s “Hannity,” Graham called the alleged surveillance an outrageous violation of his rights.

“If he [Trump] had never announced he was going to run for president, none of this would have happened,” Graham said.

“They were trying to destroy his comeback.

“This was all orchestrated by Jack Smith, Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis, Letitia James to destroy this man so he could not win in 2024.

“I’ve seen this movie before.

“I am going to look at what happened to me and my fellow senators.

“If they did this without good reason and without cause, I’m going to sue the crap out of these people.”

When pressed by Sean Hannity on whether that included Smith himself, Graham said he would target “whoever I can sue” to ensure future abuses are prevented.

‘This Stinks to High Heaven’

The South Carolina senator accused Smith of manipulating the justice system to influence the 2024 election against Donald Trump.

“Jack Smith released a document about why he thought Trump was guilty in October, right before the election, violating protocol of the Department of Justice,” Graham said.

“This stinks to high heaven. I’m tired of it.

“We’ve got new people in town to clean this mess up.

“And my goal is not to do this to Democrats — it’s to make sure it’s never done to anybody in the future.”

Graham tied the surveillance claims to a broader pattern of weaponization, comparing it to the Crossfire Hurricane probe against Trump in 2016.

The Alleged Surveillance

According to the FBI records obtained by Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Smith’s Arctic Frost team tracked the communications of at least eight GOP senators: Graham, Marsha Blackburn (TN), Ron Johnson (WI), Josh Hawley (MO), Cynthia Lummis (WY), Bill Hagerty (TN), Dan Sullivan (AK), and Tommy Tuberville (AL).

Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) was also allegedly monitored.

An FBI official told Fox News Digital that Smith’s team could reportedly view phone numbers dialed, call locations, and recipient locations, citing supposed interest in conversations about contesting electoral votes.

DOJ Faces Heat

The revelations drew scrutiny during a House Oversight hearing on Tuesday, where Sen. Graham confronted Attorney General Pam Bondi about the alleged surveillance.

Bondi declined to confirm or deny whether an investigation is ongoing, but blasted Smith’s office:

“They wasted $50 million on what you just described, trying to put President Trump in jail prior to the election,” Bondi said.

Bigger Picture

The alleged monitoring adds to a string of disclosures showing how Biden-era law enforcement aggressively targeted Trump allies.

Just last month, Sen. Grassley revealed that 92 Republican-linked individuals and groups, including Turning Point USA, were flagged by the FBI under “Arctic Frost.”

Graham made clear that accountability is coming:

“Whoever I can sue on behalf of the future of people who will come after me, we cannot allow the abuse of power to go unchecked,” he said.
