New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s newly appointed chief equity officer quietly deleted a social media account filled with radical rhetoric and racially charged attacks.
According to records reviewed by the New York Post, the powerful official, Afua Atta-Mensah, scrubbed her social media accounts clean just days before taking on one of the most powerful ideological roles in City Hall.
Atta-Mensah repeatedly used communist revolutionary language online, referred to others as “comrade,” and amplified far-left talking points, including claims that “there’s NO moderate way to black liberation.”
Her X account vanished shortly before Mamdani selected her to oversee the city’s racial equity agenda.
“There is no one I trust more to advance racial equity across our work in City Hall,” Mamdani said when announcing her appointment.
Digital Footprint Vanishes After Appointment
The now-deleted posts were uncovered by the New York Young Republicans Club.
The group said Atta-Mensah’s account went dark within days of her Thursday appointment.
The timing raised immediate red flags, coming as another top Mamdani aide, far-left tenant activist Cea Weaver, was already facing backlash over resurfaced posts calling to “seize private property” and labeling homeownership “a weapon of white supremacy.”
Anti-White Rhetoric and Tax Extremism
Among Atta-Mensah’s deleted activity were direct attacks on liberal white women.
In one exchange responding to a post stating, “we don’t talk about white liberal racism enough,” Atta-Mensah replied:
“Facts! It would need to be a series of long conversations.”
She also enthusiastically embraced confiscatory tax rhetoric.
In a 2021 discussion about the HBO series “Succession,” Atta-Mensah responded to a comment urging lawmakers to “tax these people to the white meat.”
“Tax Them To The White Meat!!!” she replied along with a series of hand-clapping emojis.
We have the receipts and we are here to win. These tweets by Afua Atta-Mensah are just the tip of the iceberg and New York is not going down without a fight.

The social media posts reviewed dated back to at least 2020.
Mamdani’s office claimed it did not instruct appointees to delete social media accounts.
Pattern Inside Mamdani’s Inner Circle
Before her appointment, Atta-Mensah worked on Mamdani’s campaign and held roles at left-wing “social justice” organizations.
Mamdani praised her ideological background, saying she has “dedicated her career to serving the New Yorkers who are so often forgotten in the halls of power.”
The mayor has also publicly defended Weaver after her own extremist posts resurfaced shortly after the administration took office.
Weaver previously wrote, “The Police Are Just People The State Sanctions To Murder With Immunity.”
She declared that private property, “especially homeownership,” is “a weapon of white supremacy.”
Weaver then urged voters to “elect more communists.”
City Hall did not respond to questions about Atta-Mensah’s deleted posts.
Critics Warn of Ideological Capture
Critics say the pattern is becoming impossible to ignore.
“Zohran’s team tried to be more careful after the Cea Weaver disaster, but we caught Atta-Mensah before she could fully scrub her digital footprint,” said Stefano Forte, president of the New York Young Republicans Club.
“Anti-white racism is a feature, not a fringe problem, of Mamdani’s inner circle,” Forte added.
“The mayor said there is no one he trusts more than Atta-Mensah to push ‘racial equity,’ and make no mistake: tweets about taxing ‘white meat’ reflect the approach of the entire Mamdani administration to reshape New York.”
As Mamdani continues staffing his administration, critics warn that radical ideology, once confined to activist spaces, is rapidly being embedded into the machinery of city government.
