Conservative firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) will appear on ABC’s “The View” next week amid a backlash over the show’s leftist bias.
Greene’s appearance on the left-wing propaganda show marks a rare booking of a conservative guest on “The View.”
The congresswoman announced her appearance on the left-leaning daytime talk show on Thursday, writing on X:
“I look forward to joining the ladies on ‘The View’ on Tuesday!”

Her upcoming appearance follows months of criticism that “The View” has become a liberal echo chamber.
A NewsBusters study released this summer found that from January through July, the show hosted 102 left-leaning guests and zero conservatives.
Conservatives Cheer Greene’s Upcoming Appearance
The announcement sparked enthusiasm among conservatives online.
One user wrote, “Oh this is gonna be gold.
“MTG walking into ‘The View’ is like dropping a grenade in a hen house.”
Many on the Right have called for the show to feature more dissenting voices and Greene’s appearance is being viewed as a long-overdue step in that direction.
Co-Hosts Claim Republicans Are “Scared” to Come On
Last week, after hosting actress Cheryl Hines, the wife of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the co-hosts discussed their desire for more politically diverse guests.
“I think that we should have more Republicans on the show, but they don’t want to come on,” Joy Behar claimed.
“They’re scared of us.”
That statement immediately drew backlash, with conservatives posting receipts showing they had tried to appear on the show but were denied or ignored by producers.
Evidence Shows Conservatives Were Repeatedly Turned Down
Fox News obtained emails from the program’s booking staff showing that “The View” either declined or dodged offers to host multiple conservative guests, including Outkick’s Riley Gaines, The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh, and New York Post columnist Karol Markowicz.
In one exchange, Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer was told there wasn’t “room at the moment” when a representative pitched him to appear on Veterans Day.
Gaines, known for her advocacy to protect women’s sports, also confirmed she was rejected.
“When I was pitched to go on, they said no,” Gaines posted earlier this month, attaching a clip of Behar’s claim that Republicans “don’t want to come on” the show.
Ted Cruz, Byron Donalds Among Republicans Rejected
A 2023 NewsBusters report revealed that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) had also requested to appear on “The View” during his book tour but was turned down.
Responding to Gaines’ post on X, Cruz wrote simply, “Me too!”
Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) echoed that frustration, writing:
“Hey @TheView, my offer still stands. I’m ready when you are!”
Donalds’ post quoted RNC Senior Advisor Danielle Alvarez, who confirmed that his request had been rejected by producers.
History of Limited Conservative Representation
While “The View” has occasionally hosted right-leaning guests, including Cruz, Caitlyn Jenner, Donald Trump Jr., Newt Gingrich, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), the show’s political balance remains overwhelmingly skewed to the Left.
The panel’s lone nominal conservative, Alyssa Farah Griffin, has been openly critical of President Donald Trump and often aligns with her liberal co-hosts.
Critics argue that the show’s lack of genuine ideological diversity mirrors the broader bias of mainstream media, where conservative perspectives are marginalized or tokenized.
Greene’s appearance next week is expected to draw significant ratings and, perhaps, renewed debate about the show’s long-standing resistance to real political balance.
