‘Married with Children’ Star Cindyana Santangelo Dies Suddenly at 58

Actress Cindyana Santangelo has tragically died suddenly, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has revealed.

Santangelo, who was best known for her roles in “Married…with Children,” “CSI: Miami,” and “ER,” was just 58 years old when she passed away unexpectedly.

According to an advisory from the Sheriff’s Department, emergency services responded to a call in Malibu, California, at approximately 7:15 pm on Monday.

First responders found Santangelo’s body, and she was immediately transported to the hospital.

However, she was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, TMZ reports.

The LASD is now investigating her death and awaiting autopsy results.

However, no foul play is suspected at this time.

Her cause of death has not been revealed, and all other details have been withheld from the public.

Santangelo got her first break in 1989 after she was cast in Young MC’s music video for “Bust a Move.”

The following year, her voice was featured at the beginning of Jane’s Addiction’s hit song “Stop.”

In an interview with Spin Magazine, the band’s lead vocalist, Perry Farrell, later called Santangelo “the Latin Marilyn Monroe.”

The nickname stuck throughout her career.

Santangelo later made a move into TV work.

She went on to secure the role of Sierra Madre on “Married…With Children,” before appearing on “CSI: Miami,” and “ER.”

The actress made her film debut in 1990 when she was cast in “The Adventures of Ford Fairlane,” playing a corpse named Lydia.

In 2003, Santangelo worked alongside Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett in the Hollywood comedy “Homicide.”

The Manhattan native grew up on the West Coast after leaving New York City at a young age.

She went on to secure a scholarship at London’s Lee Strasberg School at age 19, her IMDB profile states.

The actress also attended NUC’s Tisch School of Arts and USC’s School of Cinema and Television.

Last month, Santangelo marked her son Dante’s 20th birthday with a heartfelt post on Instagram.

“These to [sic] Goonies mean everything so amazing young Men sweethearts smart & Gorgeous,” she wrote alongside a photo of her two sons.

Santangelo’s loved ones and fans have since taken to social media to pay their respects following the shocking news of her sudden death.

“My heart aches as I write this,” her longtime friend wrote on Instagram.

“I’m still in shock and disbelief.

“How can you be gone???”

“I will feel your presence in every crashing wave, every salty breeze, and every shimmering reflection of the sun on the ocean’s surface,” she added, in part.

“You were my best friend, my wifey, my kindred spirit.

“The most gorgeous mermaid in human form.

“Forever drawn to the sea.”
