Former First Lady Michelle Obama sparked backlash after making controversial remarks that downplayed motherhood and appeared to promote a radical view of women’s reproductive roles.
Obama made the comments in a recent episode of her failing podcast.
During the Wednesday episode of โIMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson,โ the former first lady, who has long aligned with the Democratsโ pro-abortion agenda, suggested that the ability to create life is a minor function of the female body.
โWomenโs reproductive health is about our life,โ Obama said.
โItโs about this whole complicated reproductive system that the least of what it does is produce life.โ
Critics were quick to note the irony of dismissing motherhood as the โleastโ important function of the female body while advocating for policies that have led to the termination of millions of unborn children.
The podcast episode featured Obamaโs friend and OB/GYN, Dr. Sharon Malone.
The discussion was focused on what they described as a male-dominated misunderstanding of womenโs health.
Obama complained that the abortion debate has been “reduced to a question of choice.”
โI attempted to make the argument on the campaign trail this past election that thereโs just so much more at stake because so many men have no idea what women go through,โ Obama stated.
She suggested that menโincluding lawmakers and religious leadersโare not fit to weigh in on abortion laws.

The former first ladyโs remarks align with the Democratsโ ongoing push to expand abortion access nationwide, despite widespread opposition among conservatives and pro-life advocates who believe life begins at conception.
Malone echoed Obamaโs sentiments and criticized government involvement in abortion regulation:
โThis is a situation where a woman should have control over her bodyโwhen and if to have a baby, and to decide how that pregnancy should continue,โ she said.
In another eyebrow-raising exchange, Malone suggested a link between โolder spermโ and autism.
Obama responded with a conspiratorial tone, saying, โTheyโll never let that secret out.
“That may be the key behind all the defunding everything.
“Then old men can keep marrying 20-year-olds.
“Itโs like, โIโll give you the baby you want.โโ
The episode reinforced the Obamasโ far-left stance on abortion and womenโs health.
It leaves many conservatives questioning how far progressive figures are willing to go in redefining life, family, and biological purpose.
