Michigan Democrat Calls for Trump Supporters to Be ‘Hanged by the Neck Until Dead’

A Democrat official in Michigan has provoked outrage with a shocking statement about supporters of President Donald Trump.

Bill Swift, Chairman of the Lenawee County Democratic Party, has come under fire for a controversial Facebook post that denied the results of the 2024 election.

In the post, Swift labeled Trump administration immigration officials as “Nazi collaborators.”

When a backlash immediately ensured, Swift’s post was deleted shortly after being shared.

However, Swift then doubled down on his statements during a call-in appearance on Talk Back Radio with Doug Spade and Mike Clement.

Swift claimed he deleted his post due to alleged concerns that Trump supporters “might do violence to people in our community.”

However, he stood firmly behind its content, stating:

“We as a party and I as an individual absolutely 100% support the statements that we made.”

During his radio appearance, Swift defended the post as “outlining a very rational argument.”

He continued by accusing Trump and his supporters of promoting Nazi ideologies.

Swift then falsely claimed that Tesla CEO Elon Musk, a Trump supporter, performed “two Hitler salutes, two Nazi salutes” during the president’s inauguration on January 20, 2025.

“This is a deliberate, very clear, unambiguous Nazi salute,” Swift claimed.

He further alleged that Musk had transformed his social media platform X into what he called a “right-wing Nazi echo chamber.”

According to Swift, the alleged salutes represented “a transformative moment in American history.”

He then characterized the presidential inauguration as a Nazi rally.

The now-deleted Facebook post, which was highlighted on social media platform X last week, accused Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents operating in Lenawee County of being “Nazi collaborators.”

The post declared:

“It should be understood that in the context of an illegitimately and unconstitutionally elected insurrectionist president who ran on Nazi rhetoric and who had what was, in effect, a Nazi rally for his presidential inauguration that the agents of ICE that are operating in our county today are properly defined as Nazi collaborators.

“These Nazi collaborators are unconstitutionally operating within the border of the State of Michigan.

“Invalid Supreme Court rulings are just that, folks.”

Swift went on to claim that the United States was no longer a constitutional republic.

Instead, he claims America has devolved into a “fascist Nazi billionaire oligarchy.”

Swift’s radio comments were no less incendiary.

He accused Trump of attempting to overthrow the U.S. government and labeled him a “domestic enemy and domestic terrorist.”

Swift argued that Trump’s policies, including efforts to end birthright citizenship, provided moral grounds for his “extraconstitutional removal.”

Swift also painted a grim picture of America’s future under Trump.

The Democrat claims that “jackbooted thugs” with ICE would soon be “dragging kindergarteners from schools and churches.”

He compared the current political climate in the U.S. to World War II-era Nazi Germany, referencing resistance efforts from the Netflix series “Nr. 24.”

Perhaps most shocking were Swift’s comments advocating the death penalty for Trump’s supporters.

He made the call in another post by the Lenawee County Democratic Party.

Swift called for those “traitors” trying to make Trump a “king” to “be hanged by the neck until dead.”

“They should be arrested, and they should be facing the death penalty,” Swift said.

“They should be hanged by the neck until dead.

“I believe this is one of the few areas of the law where I believe the death penalty should be imposed.”

The Lenawee County Democratic Party has yet to officially comment on the backlash stemming from Swift’s statements.

However, the inflammatory rhetoric and calls for the death penalty have sparked outrage.

They have been drawing criticism from both sides of the political spectrum.

As the controversy unfolds, Swift’s comments highlight growing tensions in political discourse and the potential consequences of inflammatory rhetoric in an increasingly divided nation.
