Minnesota Somali Threatens to Murder ICE Agents: ‘You’re Gonna Get Popped!’

A Somali immigrant in Minnesota is under federal investigation after posting a TikTok video in which he openly threatened to shoot Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents amid heightened federal enforcement activity targeting criminal illegal aliens in the Twin Cities.

The man was identified by the New York Post as Hasan Mohamed, a student at the taxpayer-funded Minnesota State University.

“ICE, I actually heard you guys pulled up to Owatonna, the big O, and you pulled up when I was not there?” Mohamed said in the now-deleted clip.

“Y’all so p–s-ass s–t, boy.

“You’re gonna get popped next time I see you.

“Bring the whole cavalry.

“Yeah, boy, you guys are scared.”

The video spread rapidly on social media, drawing national outrage and prompting university officials and federal authorities to respond.

Mohamed later posted a second video attempting to walk back his comments.

However, Mohamed only changed his tune after the video went viral and a massive backlash ensued.

“I don’t expect to be forgiven,” he said.

“I’m just here to apologize.

“I truly did not mean what I said.

“I was just trying to be funny.”

Threat Emerges Amid Massive ICE Operation Targeting Criminal Aliens

The incident came just days after ICE concluded “Operation Metro Surge,” a targeted enforcement initiative in Minneapolis that resulted in the arrests of nearly a dozen criminal illegal aliens, including five Somali nationals, multiple Mexican nationals, and one Salvadoran, according to Fox News.

Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin directly tied the need for the operation to Minnesota’s sanctuary-style policies.

“Sanctuary policies and politicians like Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey allowed these pedophiles, domestic terrorists, and gang members to roam the streets and terrorize Americans,” McLaughlin said.

“ICE law enforcement are risking their lives to protect Minnesotans while their own elected officials sit by and do nothing.

Backdrop: Widespread Fraud Scandals Rock Minnesota’s Somali Community

The threat and arrests follow weeks of political fallout from an explosive investigation by journalists Christopher Rufo and Ryan Thorpe, which uncovered widespread fraud in Minnesota’s social-service programs, much of it tied to the state’s large Somali community.

Their reporting highlighted the Feeding Our Future scandal, the largest documented pandemic-era fraud scheme in the United States.

Prosecutors allege defendants diverted an estimated $250 million to $300 million in federal child-nutrition funds.

More than 70 individuals, predominantly Somali immigrants, have been charged; dozens have already pleaded guilty or been convicted.

Rufo and Thorpe also cited federal counterterrorism officials who alleged that millions in stolen funds were transferred to al-Shabaab, the Islamist terrorist organization in Somalia, via hawala networks.

In response to the broader fraud scandal, President Donald Trump revoked Temporary Protected Status for certain Somali nationals.

In a Thanksgiving-week post on Truth Social, Trump blasted Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, calling him “seriously retarded.”

Walz complained afterward that motorists had begun shouting the phrase outside the governor’s residence.

“This creates danger,” Walz claimed.

“We know how things go.

“They start with taunts, they turn to violence.”

Meanwhile, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) also weighed in, telling CNN’s Jake Tapper that Trump’s rhetoric was instilling fear in Somali communities.

“It creates fear,” Omar said.

“And there is a possible danger that a lot of the people who follow the president have exhibited violence in many cases.

“There are so many people that have been incarcerated over the years that have been encouraged by the president’s words.”
